International travel restrictions may still in place, however, there's not much that can stop a true Australian from leaving their travel footprint. This time, quintessential Australian brand Zimmermann transport you to the sandy white beaches of the French Riviera as they prepare themselves for an exciting new European instalment.

Amidst worldly chaos, Zimmermann most definitely dares us to travel and dream. Following on from the brands most recent announcement, Zimmermann have opened its new doors in Cannes, making this its third store destination in France.

 

 

Making sure to sow Australian roots in European soil, the store was designed by fellow Australian interior designer Don McQualter at Sydney's Studio McQualter. Embodying the light, feminine and relaxed brand aesthetic we have come to know and love of Zimmermann, the store walks us through whitewashed rooms, beautifully lain traditional French terrazzo tiled floors, organic lime wash walls and intricate handmade plaster mouldings showcasing the handy work of local craftsmen and French craftsmanship. Vivid colours stand alone throughout in its furnished decor, contrasting itself against the neutral fixtures and white washed walls, all reminiscent of a quirky Italian villa living along the coastline.

 

 

To further commemorate the opening of its new store location and making sure to lay down Australian pillars in the French Riviera, Zimmermann have carefully curated a line up of artworks by Australian artists, including the works of groundbreaking Sydney pop artist Richard Larter, an etching by Naata Nungurrayi and soft resin vases by Gaetano Pesce to christen the new space.

 

 

Continuing on its European plight from its last season that had Resort 21 and Zimmermann eyewear see us to the forbidden coastlines of Italy, Zimmermann continue to make its command through Europe one season and store at a time.
