To the ocean with Jai Stevens and Hannah McDougall

On the road with you. Australian models Jai Stevens and Hannah McDougall share with us their postcards from a recent road trips. Spanning from Sydney to Bellingen via Ebor Falls, then on to Byron, Eumundi and Noosa. Run away with me.

"Building a driftwood and linen fort to escape the sizzling kiss of the North Queensland sun."

"The vista from the highest peak trekking through the Australian bush, past families of wild goats that were introduced by the first settlers, down to Monkey Beach on Great Keppel Island."

"Hannah lazing in Matteau. After a few hours snorkelling, we found a shady spot for a picnic of smoked oysters and blue cheese, followed by an afternoon siesta. "

"The serenity of Stoney Creek in North Queensland where Hannah grew up. The dirt road to arrive here passes through a forest of pine trees that feels as though you are driving through Jurassic Park. Other than the odd brown snake, we were the only ones here. The eucalyptus surrounding the creek imbues the fresh water with a softness that lingers on the skin for days afterwards."

"Bellingen at dusk. After a few days of heavy rainfall the river was full and welcoming. On one side of the bridge lay our swag and on the other resides one of our favourite Japanese restaurants (Qudo)."

"Heavens Gates. Looking out upon an untouched view, as the Kanomi-Woppaburra tribes once would have."

"Swimming in the Never Never Creek in the Promised Lands, Bellingen."

"A series of black and white photographs captured by our friend Claudia Smith in Byron Bay on our travels north."

"Refuge in Tea Tree Bay, Noosa."

"Checking the surf from the outlook of a Pandanus Tree. We got lucky with the surf in Noosa. Four days of 3-5ft, we surfed every morning (and afternoon)."
