Saint Laurent and Milan’s Memphis Group launch Saint Laurent Rive Droite homewares

As far as the world of architecture and design, Italian design house Memphis Group have surely made its mark in history. From what birthed one evening in 1980 to now; the colourful and geometric shapes of Memphis Group designs have now become one of the most recognizable pieces of work in the world of architecture and interior design. Now, Milan's Memphis Group venture themselves once again into the realms of fashion, collaborating with Anthony Vaccarello and Saint Laurent on an exclusive capsule for Saint Laurent Rive Droite.

To mark and celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Memphis Group and all its accomplishments, creative director Anthony Vaccarello and Saint Laurent join forces to commemorate the cultural impact made by Memphis Group, one that spans over decades worth of iconic work, influencing both the world of fashion, architecture and interior design.

The collaboration includes a series of exclusive Memphis Group x Saint Laurent apparel inspired by the previous works of the design group followed by homewares and ceramic objects including vases, plates and textiles in part of Anthony Vaccarello's Saint Laurent Rive Droite.

 

Along with its luxury designer pieces, Saint Laurent Rive Droite will play host to an exclusive exhibition and installation of some of Memphis Group's most signature pieces. Memphis Group x Saint Laurent Rive Droite showcase will include designer Masanori Umeda’s Ring bed, Michele De Lucchi’s Riviera chairs and Ettore Sottsass’ Carlton room divider along with many others, all on site at Saint Laurent Rive Droite in Paris and LA up until June 23rd.
