RUSSH Loves: beauty favourites from August

What's buzzing in beauty this month? Well, there are more than a few new launches we're excited about, plus a few hero products we've rediscovered. Here's the best in beauty for August.

A favourite of models and our Market and Beauty Director, Weleda Skin Food is a beloved hero product that we've rediscovered this winter. You can read a full review here to see why you and your skin will love this rich cream.

Pai Rosehip Oil

Rosehip oil has long been a favourite plant-based alternative to retinoid products; owing to the oil's vitamin A content. The Pai formulation is natural, organic and cruelty-free - it's an ideal option. But what sets it apart is the oil extraction process. Pai uses volcanically sourced CO2 supercritical extraction - which is more effective than cold-pressing and preserves the integrity of the oil.

Sand & Sky Tasmanian Spring Water range

Sand & Sky Tasmanian Spring WaterImage: supplied

Say hello to the latest from Sand & Sky - the new Tasmanian Spring Water range. We absolutely adore how this brand highlights Australian botanicals and ingredients. Tasmanian water is filled with minerals and all sorts of good stuff; and Sand & Sky has set out to bottle this and deliver it to you in a delightful serum and gel moisturiser duo.

These two new goodies have literally just launched: The Splash Serum and The Hydration Boost Cream. Both products are designed to hydrate, protect and fortify your skin, so they make excellence base products any skincare routine. It's available for purchase from August 25.

This old favourite has been reintroduced to us with a new look. A new limited edition bottle and a new jumbo size with 40% more product, it's time to fall in love with this cult leave in treatment all over again.

Anastasia Beverly Hill Brow Pen

New from Anastasia Beverly Hills is the Brow Pen. This brand came to cult status thanks to its revolutionary brow products, so whenever ABH releases a new product for brows, you know its going to be a good one.

This nifty little pen comes in nine shades and has an ultra-fine tip to help you fill in (not draw on) your brows for a fluffy and natural look.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Love Filter Lipsticks

If you love Charlotte Tilbury's Matte Revolution lipsticks then you'll be happy to know she's released a new series of shades - and they've been designed for brides. These three new hues are the perfect blushing, pinky pops of colour you'd want for your wedding day. Of course, you don't need to be getting married to appreciate them. We particularly love Mrs. Kisses.

The Body Shop Hemp Shower Oil

Image: one, two

The secret to not drying your skin out in a hot shower? It's shower oil. We love this product so much we wrote a whole review on it. It's the perfect solution for anyone that can't find the time to fit body moisturiser into their routine.

Biossance Squalene + Glycolic Renewal Facial Mask

Image: one, two

On those days when your skin feels flat and dull, there's nothing better than an exfoliating mask. We love this one from Biossance. It only takes three to five minutes to get working and the formulation includes plant-based squalene - so your skin is nourished as it's exfoliated.

Glasshouse Fireside in Queenstown Candle

Image: one, two

Dreaming of roaring fire in a lakeside cabin in Queenstown? Well, since we can't physically get there right now, we've taken to transporting ourselves through smell. This evocative candle will conjure images of cosy nights and times spent lying fireside.

Foile Skincare Castor Oil

Refillable skincare? Yes please!

We have more than enough packaging in this world, so discovering brands that offer refillable options is always welcome. The latest brand we've been introduced to is Foile. We're loving the brand's castor oil, an ingredient that can help your eyelashes grow to epic proportions and stop unwanted hair fall.
