As we begin to push the heavy coats to the back of the wardrobe and reach for layers that are lighter in not only weight, but colour – the topic of spring wardrobe staples has been floating around the RUSSH office. This spring, we're here to report that florals (groundbreaking) seem to have been replaced with polka dots, sheer fabrics will always have a place, and we are taking accessories as seriously as ever. Scroll on to see what spring styles are taking up our wardrobes (and carts) this season.

Give me warm weather. I’m so sick of pants and jumpers. I’m celebrating the change of seasons with some polka dots and fresh colours. I love this Fella bikini and I want some blue boxer style shorts to wear over the top, either these Faithfull ones or these Elce Swim ones. The whole vibe would be completed by this beaded Staud bag I’ve had my eye on and this vintage Hermes scarf which is actually available on THE ICONIC. The vintage on THE ICONIC is very good at the moment. This yellow polka dot skirt from With Jean is a dream, it’s on my birthday list for sure. As is this Oseree shell motif dress. I’m also swapping in some new beauty too. The cleansing butter balm from Esmi is perfect for removing all your sunscreen at the end of the day. And I like to ditch the straightener and use a curl enhancing condition in warmer weather. The Moroccanoil one is an old faithful. Finally, after seeing Margeret Qualley at the Honey Don’t premiere, I very much want a square-neck black dress. This is what I’m looking at for now, but I’m keeping my options open.

Ballet flats, to me, are the epitome of spring, so I’ll be living in these Rollie Ballet MJ Square Toe Black Flats all season – probably paired with something soft and easy like this Reformation Addie Silk Top. This Mini Mesh Bucket Bag from COS is also very sweet for a spring vibe. Of course, all spring wardrobe essentials need to be paired with MERIT’s Fox Blush Balm too. If we’re really talking dream listings though, it’s these CULT GAIA Cassidy PVC-Trimmed Leather Sandals.

Most mornings, I’m reaching for the tried and true – great basics that ask nothing of me when I’m short on time. Lately I've been drawn toward adding some playful pieces to my wardrobe. Paloma Wool is at the top of my list right now and these studded trousers are the ideal partner for a simple tank or tee, while still leaning into that promise to experiment. Sheer pieces have always been a weakness of mine and this polka dot shirt by SIR feels like the right kind of contrast for my wardrobe.
From my beloved Margelia Tabis to this beautiful phone strap from Wonwontutu, accessories have been doing all of the heavy lifting lately. In particular, my Dragon Diffusion bag has been a staple and the Alma Mini Bag by Brie Leon has slipped into high rotation.

All I want this spring (weather permitting) is to wear simple, light pieces. No one really nails the brief quite like Dôen, and this Henri blouse is a weakness of mine. I recently discovered the brand eaves (apologies, I’m late to the party) which is stocked on revolve, and there are so many gems. I’m particularly obsessed with this sheer dress. And for those days when you really can’t get away without something a little warmer on, Faithfull have started doing denim and it’s, as predicted, great. I love the combination of the blue jeans with this striped sweater. Last but not least, I need this red beaded bag in my life. It’s handmade, and the perfect pop of colour.

I’m all about lightweight, natural fibres as the weather warms. A great cotton trouser is perfect when I’m working from home. I’ve always wanted a pair of The Row Enea pants, but Deji Studios are a close (and more affordable) second choice. The Tab style is somewhat structured, so great for meetings and days in the office. I also love a cotton shirt, there’s something classic about Ralph Lauren. I really want to try Charvet shirting as well – this blue stripe is fresh for spring.
Outside of clothes, I love jewellery because it adds interest to my outfits, but requires no thought. I am not really into the tassel trend, but have saved this Hunting Season choker. Sophie Buhai is another favourite jewelry designer of mine – this black beaded choker has a vintage quality to it. It would work equally well with a strapless gown as it would a white tank.
Finally, a new season means a new scent. For the month of September you can buy all of the Le Labo City Exclusives. I just picked up Dallas, or Aldehyde 44. It’s soapy, musky and metallic – the sales associate described it to me as ‘disarming’. Sold.

Excitingly, I am going to Paris and Milan fashion week next week, so there are a lot of luxury and vintage stores on my to-visit list. In particular, I've been eyeing off the Small Fondant Andiamo bag by Bottega Veneta for years, and this might be my moment to pull the trigger. Also from Bottega are the scrunch pumps in black — I have heard that Bottega's shoes are incredibly comfortable. I also spied this beautiful Cartier watch in Paris. And it wouldn’t be a spring wishlist if something from Dôen wasn't on it. I’m seeing so many of these milk maid-esque dresses lately, and I feel this mini dress would be perfect for the warmer weather. And to top off my Spring wishlist is a Carl Friedrik suitcase for all my travels coming up. I’ve heard they are so light and easy to carry.

If one more person assumes that, because I am English, I can tolerate wet and cold weather, they will be sternly corrected. Though I am translucently pale, I adore sun, water and warmth! First things first, I need some new sunscreen. I adore Emma Lewisham and never wear less than SPF 50. Whilst I struggle with finding a flat sandal that suits me, I find a sneaker tends to be my spring footwear choice, and I’ve been admiring these silver Veja volleys. Spring doesn’t really mean pastels or light colours to me and I’m not ready to leave the house without a jacket just yet, so I’m looking at this Acne blazer on Cirkular/The Iconic (I love sustainable and second hand). Now that I don’t need a canoe to leave my house, I have been a lot more active lately and really loving that the Uni natural deodorant works so well, so I will be purchasing some more. I can’t wait to go to the beach and you will never get me out of a black one piece, so this by Hunza G is a must for the coming warmer months. Lastly, I seem to have misplaced all of my reading glasses so if I’m going to read at the beach, I’ll need some new frames and have been loving Chloe lately.

I've had a couple of Faithfull new arrivals in my cart that are very spring-appropriate. The Vilde Top Birgitta Broderie Anglaise White will take me through to summer and is so whimsical, and the Janne Midi Dress Maia Stripe Burgundy is ready for all of the picnics this season has to offer (antihistamines in hand of course). A hat that will go with everything is this Holiday Bucket - Beige Canvas from Lack of Color. And I may as well round out my spring shopping cart with a couple of wishlist items: these KHAITE Loop Flat Sandals will be a staple for seasons to come, and this Bottega Veneta Wallace rafia shoulder bag needs me.

Spring is where I truly shine. Having my shoulders out is the instant serotonin boost I’m constantly chasing throughout the cooler months, so it should come as no surprise that I have a wishlist of spring favourites primed and ready.
I have been thinking about Bianca Spender’s AFW 2025 show since May, and I am overjoyed that it’s finally available to shop. I don’t have much in the way of spring suiting, and cannot go past this chocolate satin suiting jacket and matching trousers. The short sleeve is so perfect for this in-between weather, and the draping on the trousers are what dreams are made of. Bury me in it. I also dream of pairing this classic two-piece with a statement watch, and of course, Audemar Piguet's reimagned Code 11.59 in the 38mm is the only piece on my mind. Matching coloured dials and straps are so in this spring.
Similarly to Emily, I am marking the new season with a new scent. I love sandalwood and I also love Australian perfumer, WHO IS ELIJAH, so I’m giving their fragrance Morning After a try. I’m already an avid user of the brands other fragrances, so this I think this will definitely become a part of my rotation.
Footwear is also heavily on my mind. I just picked up these Ferragamo wedges on sale, and thank gosh, because they have been on my moodboard for far too long. But in a more practical sense, I am still very firmly team thong. Day-to-day, I think I’m going to pull the trigger on this sling-back pair from AERE, but I am always dreaming of the Empire Sandal from Hermès. Maybe this will be the season I finally pull the trigger.
