Your guide on where to protest the Roe v. Wade ruling in Australia

roe v. wade protest australia

The US Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade, handing individual states the power to design their own abortion laws. Already, at least 26 states have criminalized or restricted access to abortion. It's sickening and the consequences will be lethal for anyone who can carry a baby. This much we know to be true.

In Australia, we watch on in a mix of horror and disbelief. By now you've probably shared the news across your social media and engaged in some healthy (one can dream) discussion on Twitter. You've pushed words to their utmost limits and now it's time to channel that fury into action. As soon as the news was announced, organisers mobilised to coordinate a series of rallies across the country in solidarity with all women, trans men and non binary folk who will be affected by this new ruling in the US. Taking place this week, below we're bringing you the details of each march. Find them below.

Protest looks different to everybody. For some it means donating cash or volunteering, for others it's sharing the facts with friends, family and even strangers (you are doing the Lord's work).  To those who cannot attend, for health, clashes with work or otherwise, take this list of US-based abortion funds and organisations to donate to, if you have the means.
