The launch of Fenty Skin has a date, here’s what we know

Fenty Skin

Fenty Skin has launched at last.

The official preview for email subscribers was a crazy time - the website crashed due to a traffic overload and it was taking some people up to an hour to place their orders. Looks like Rihanna has launched another sell out.

There are current three products in the Fenty Skin range - you can read a detailed breakdown and review of them here.

These products are:

  1. Total Cleans'r Remove-It-All Cleanser
  2. Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum
  3. Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturiser Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen

A page on the Fenty Beauty website revealed Fenty Skin would launch on July 31 and that early access was available on July 29. The line now has its own Instagram account which heralds Fenty Skin as the "new culture of skincare".

But now the burning question for many of us is, when can we go and look at Fenty Skin in stores for ourselves. While Fenty Skin is available on the Fenty Beauty website, but won't make it to Australian Sephora until later in the year.

Singer, rapper, designer and businesswoman Rihanna has been teasing the launch of Fenty Skincare for months.

This would be an extension on the current Fenty Beauty makeup line - rather than falling under a new name. Although, Rihanna has released things like lip balm in the past, this is set to be the first full line of skincare for Fenty. Here's everything we knew in the lead up to the launch.

Everything we know of Fenty Skin so far:

Speaking with British Vogue Rihanna, she confirmed her move into skincare. She expands on why skincare is next for the Fenty name and the daunting prospect of delving into this sector of the beauty market. “Skincare, it’s the truth. It either works or it doesn’t. There’s nowhere to hide,” she explains.

We know that it will be coming to us globally on July 31. We don't have any product details just yet. But we will be waiting with bated breath for further news and we will certainly keep you updated with anything new that we hear.

Previous new releases from Fenty Beauty:

More imminent is the release of her Summer Beauty collection range for Fenty Beauty. Available from April 17 from both Sephora and Fenty’s online store the range both expands shade variations of current products and releases new products into the market.

Firstly, seven new shades of bronzers are the latest in multi-use products. With a buildable, cream consistency the bronzer can be used to bronze, define and contour. The sheer, blendable shades are all water resistant and easy to apply with either a brush or directly with fingers. Alongside these will also launch ten shades of cream blush. Shades to suit all skin tones the creams leave a natural wash of colour across the cheeks.

Makeup needn’t just be for the face. New shades of the Body Lava Luminizer will also be released. Including the limited edition shade Cognac Candy. With light diffusing crystals and a sheer formula, apply to legs, arms, collarbone and shoulders and catch the sun just so. The pure copper sparkle of Cognac Candy will also be available in Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond veil. A highlighting dust made for face and body.

Whilst we know little about the launch of Fenty Skin, when it comes to Rihanna, we know it’s something we will want. Rihanna filed a trademark application last year, so we do know that this has been in the works for some time. Hopefully we hear more soon.
