PFW SS 18 editor’s diary

There's nowhere like Paris. From a night with Nick Cave to the dazzling sets at Chanel, RUSSH Fashion & Beauty Director Billie Iveson shares the best of Paris Fashion Week.

The shows ...
Louis Vuitton: Nicolas Ghesquière's SS 18 collection was a nod to Stranger Things.
Saint Laurent: Shorter hemlines and added sparkle. Saint Laurent had us ready to disco.
Loewe: All our summer fantasies in one.
Miu Miu: All layered up for Miuccia Prada's boy meets girl.
Chanel: Lagerfeld's vision for summer is the little white dress.

The sets ...
Saint Laurent's runway was staged in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower while Chanel brought us back to the Grand Palais, complete with a working waterfall. Christian Dior's hall of mirrors in the garden of Musée Rodin and Louis Vuitton presented at the newly opened Louvre’s Pavillon de l’Horloge.

The accessories ...
We were transfixed by Miu Miu's leather and wicker bucket bag, the pastel-hued bags at Loewe and the lace-up details in Maria Grazia Chiuri's shoes at Christian Dior.

Between shows ...
We were serenaded by Nick Cave at the Zenith, and caught Will Smith performing with his son, Jaden, at the afterparty celebrating the new Louis Vuitton Place Vendôme boutique. We managed to catch Irving Penn: Centennial at the Grand Palais, celebrating 100 years since the birth of the iconic photographer. We also toured Vestiaire Collective's authenticity department, where their team of experts authenticate the luxury products like 1900-era Hermès saddles to new season handbags.

The food ...
Bar Etna was a favourite for its natural wine selection, old favourites like Hôtel Costes and Café Pinson for post-show sustenance and Juice Lab for the perfect morning energy hit.
