MFW editor’s diary

Ciao Milano. From Gucci’s enchanted garden to Versace’s power women, the models we couldn’t get enough of and those boots we can’t stop thinking about – these are our favourite Milan Fashion Week moments.

The shows ...
Fendi: A touch of sports amongst the sophistication. And those red boots.
Prada: A collection celebrating women and their place in public and private spheres. 70s student touches to womanly seduction.
Gucci: The first combined menswear and womenswear show looked to Alessandro Michele’s favourite gardens and resulted in the most inspiring combination of influences from Victoriana to the 80s. A true example of Michele’s power.
Versace: Celebrating women with power messages, slick suiting and strong florals.
Attico presentation: Making us all want to wear rainbow sequins and pink wrap dresses.

The beauty ...
Bottega Veneta: 40s touches and softly rimmed eyes.
Versace: Punk elements for these power women.

The accessories ...
Tod’s’ red bags and Dolce & Gabbana’s jewelled shoes.

The faces ...
RUSSH favourite Charlee Fraser at Fendi.
Eva Herzigova at Bottega Veneta.
The line up at Missoni’s women’s march finale.
Adwoa Aboah at Fendi.

Between shows ...
We had the opportunity to take a private tour of the Fornasetti house; it is truly a design marvel with treasures every corner you turn.
Browns Fashion ended the week with a intimate dinner with Giorgia Tordini, Gilda Ambrosio of Attico and Amina Muaddi of Oscar Tiye at Il Baretto al Baglioni.
And before heading off to Paris we travelled to Verona to stay at the Due Torri Hotel, on of the Leading Hotels of the World. A moment to recharge.
