The 2023 Met Gala is finally upon us and, while most of the world is bent on discussing the fashions that made their way up the red carpeted steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, there's something to be said for the breathtaking beauty looks that accompanied them. Karl Lagerfeld was always unafraid to be a little daring with hair and makeup on the runways during his time at fashion Houses like Chanel, Fendi, Chloe or his own eponymous label – from lacquered black or purple pixie cut wigs, to candy-pink complexions. So we thought we'd take the time to skim through some of our favourite beauty looks served at this year's Met Gala.
