It’s Coco Chanel, balancing a cigarette in her mouth while sorting through bowls of pearls, Jacqueline Kennedy laughing and reclining under soft lamplight, or Yves Saint Laurent in those iconic spectacles, alone in his workshop. Photographer Mark Shaw was a master of capturing the candid moments in-between the takes. From August 4, Becker Minty will host a limited edition retrospective of the prolific photographers career, spanning his time at LIFE Magazine, his period spent with the Kennedys and years photographing the evolving world of fashion in the 50s and 60s. Mark Shaw: In The Moment runs through ’til September 30.
