Grab your wallet, Keanu Reeves is auctioning off a Zoom date for charity

Keanu Reeves

In some (finally!) good news, Keanu Reeves is auctioning off a Zoom date.

The king of kindness and all-round dream man, is offering a private 15 minute call in a charity auction for Camp Rainbow Gold.

The auction description reads teasingly: "A little one-on-one with Keanu". Excuse me while I go and melt into a puddle.

It continues: "You know him. You love him. This is truly priceless and now you have the chance to Zoom with him from home! Get your questions ready and spend 15-minutes with actor, director, producer and musician, Keanu Reeves."

Unfortunately, there is some stiff competition. The top bid (at the time of writing this piece) was $17,600 US. So you'll need to have quite a substantial "rainy day" fund if you're hoping to snap up this opportunity. It's quite a price for 15 minutes, but after all, it's Keanu.

But it's for a very worthwhile endeavour though. All the proceeds will go directly to the children's cancer organisation in Idaho, which is certainly an excellent cause to support.

The auction closes at midday on Monday June 22 which is 4am the next day for those of us on the East coast of Australia. The call must happen in the week of July 6 at a time that is mutually suitable.

This is just the latest in a long list of Keanu's good deeds. He is a man followed by dozens of stories about acts of kindness, from giving up his seat on public transport and always signing autographs to organising transport for himself and group of other stranded travellers. He also allegedly secretly donates considerable sums to children's hospitals.

In a world that is often dark and dull, Keanu Reeves continues to be a spark of joy, reminding us that some people are really, just nice - without and agenda.

Whoever manage to score that Zoom call should count themselves very lucky.
