If you follow Jacquemus on Instagram, you'll know that Simon Porte has kept booked and busy. The French designer has shared a five slide carousel detailing all the big surprises and drops we can expect as 2023 winds down. One that's caught our eye? A forthcoming Tekla x Jacquemus collaboration.
While no visual evidence has emerged as of yet, a team up between Jacquemus and the Copenhagen-based homewares label feels particularly apt. Tekla, with its soft cotton and linen bedding, sleepwear and towels, shares similar traits such as its minimalist design, signature pastel and deep grounding colour palette, and a desire to engage the latest technology in the process. Who wouldn't want sheets in Jacquemus signature shade of bubblegum? Please and thank you.
At this stage, we expect Jacquemus x Tekla will be ready to shop on November 30, in line with the post. Until then, we're sure to see more images slowly filter out from the collection. Are your bets on sleepwear or bedding? Personally I'm thinking the former. Or perhaps the new Jacquemus boutique at Galerie Lafayette Paris is dishing out hidden cues on what to expect, with its lush, pillowy surfaces? In any case, we're sure to find out soon.
As for the other announcements included in the Instagram post? Along with the Tekla collaboration, Jacquemus has flagged that a pink iteration of its Humara sneaker with Nike will land on December 5. Meanwhile, the designer will unveil its "Le Raphia" collection on December 12, which we imagine will involve a lot of natural straw-like material. The following day we'll get our first preview of its "Le Bisou" bag and later on in the month, just in time for the holidays, Simone Porte has promised a "Christmas Surprise". What do you think it could be?
