Jacob Elordi is officially a Bottega Veneta boy

Could this be the best Friday news ever? Jacob Elordi – Australian heartthrob and certified fashion boy – is officially part of the Bottega Veneta crew, with news that the star has been named an ambassador for the House dropping overnight. In the singular campaign imagery that accompanied the announcement, captured by photographer Alec Soth, Elordi is seen wearing a salmon-hued, double-layered sweater, paired with what seems to be a fondant leather shirt or neck-tie underneath. And my personal favourite touch, his hands place behind his head to imitate little bunny rabbit ears.

In all fairness, we should have seen this partnership coming a mile away. Throughout the years, Elordi has developed an on-going connection with the Italian fashion house, attending the brand's shows, regularly wearing Bottega Veneta looks on the red carpet (I'm still thinking about that pinstripe suit and yellow shirt moment) and has also frequently sported the brand's iconic handbags and leather goods; most notably, the coveted Andiamo in fondant, which also, happens to be my personal favourite.

All this is to say that an ambassadorship with one of the major luxury fashion House's was always on the cards for Elordi. As passionate and unwavering supporters of the Euphoria and Priscilla star, here at RUSSH we've been charting his personal style evolution for some time now. His street style has always been noteworthy, but lately, we've loved seeing him become more experimental on the red carpet too. With Bottega Veneta currently guided by the formidable Matthieu Blazy, there's no better house for Elordi to continue cementing his sartorial legacy.

What will the ambassadorship involve?

At this stage, we don't know much about Elordi's involvement as a new Bottega Veneta ambassador, but we can comfortably speculate that this will involve representing the House in campaigns, attending runway shows and wearing the brand at red carpet events and during public outings.

Who else is a Bottega Veneta ambassador?

Presently, the Italian fashion house is not known for having many ambassadors, however, Elordi does join RM of BTS and actress Shu Qi as official friends of the brand. We look forward to seeing if any other stars join the trio soon.
