Italians do it better. Madonna knew this, and so does Iris Law. The model has been tapped as an ambassador for cult Italian sneaker label Superga, appearing in its Fall/Winter 2022 campaign. Imbuing all she does with cool girl effortlessness and magnetism, Law brought this energy to the latest Superga campaign.

Under the technicolour eye of Lea Colombo, the photographer and director shot the campaign at The National Tennis Association, paying tribute to Superga's roots on the court. Dressed by Parisian stylist, Virginie Benarroch, Iris Law appears clad in cable knit sweater vests, tennis skirts and the always classic Superga Cotu sneaker, alongside a newly released Revolley Colour block platform in black.

To celebrate the launch of Superga's Fall/Winter 2022 campaign, we caught up with Iris Law. Below, the model shares her first memories of Superga and why she'll always have a soft spot for vintage.

What drew you to Superga?

I’ve always loved the spirit and energy of the brand. Superga is constantly reinventing itself for the next generation, re-establishing a timeless wardrobe classic year after year.

When I was thirteen I used to always wear the wedge black superga. I remember it vividly.

 

Can you tell us more about the inspiration behind the A/W22 campaign, shot by Lea Colombo at LTA?

This was a really fun shoot to make. I liked the contradiction my personal style brought to the campaign’s direction, showing an alternative way to style Superga. Disrupting and playing around with the brand’s heritage and affiliation with the iconic sport. A game of two halves – my Britishness and Superga’s Italian laid-back charm.

 

Which style is your favourite style from the A/W22 campaign and why?

The Cotu Classic. They remind me of being on holiday.

 

How would you define your personal style?

Fluid. It's how I choose to express myself and I think often changes depending on where I am going, who I am seeing and what my mood is.

 

Where are you most excited to wear your Superga’s this season?

 They are such everyday shoes I think you can wear them pretty much anywhere!

 

How do you like to typically style-up your Superga sneakers?

I love sneakers with a vintage dress.

 

You like to take inspiration from the past when it comes to fashion. How does this play into your style choices?

I love vintage, I think it's so important to recycle pre-loved items and re-love them. I get so much joy out of finding a special piece.
