A$AP Rocky is entering a new phase — and this time, it's on screen. The rapper is diving headfirst into film this year with two major projects: Spike Lee's Highest 2 Lowest, and now, If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, the A24 drama that aired at Sundance back in February.
In the latter, Rocky plays James — a neighbour who drifts in and out of the emotional collapse of Linda, played by Rose Byrne. Even better, the trailer has just dropped, offering a first glimpse at the tension that made the film a festival favourite. Everything you need to know, below.

Who’s involved?
The film comes from writer-director Mary Bronstein, who paints an intimate portrait of psychological unraveling. Rose Byrne takes the lead as Linda — a woman trying to hold it together as her life falls apart around her. Conan O’Brien plays Linda's therapist, with whom she is increasingly at odds with, while Danielle Macdonald, Christian Slater, Delaney Quinn, A$AP Rocky and director Bronstein herself round out the cast.
Following its premiere at Sundance, If I Had Legs I’d Kick You screened at the Berlin Film Festival, where Byrne took home the Silver Bear for Best Lead Performance. Critics have already hailed her performance as one of her most raw and unfiltered to date.
What’s it about?
The trailer is fairly abstract, but the official logline says it all: “With her life literally crashing down around her, Linda attempts to navigate her child’s mysterious illness, her absent husband, a missing person, and an increasingly hostile relationship with her therapist.” And as you might have gleaned from the trailer, this plot unfurls in a spiral of panic, paranoia, and dark humour.
When does it come out?
If I Had Legs I’d Kick You opens in theatres on October 10, 2025, although we're yet to hear if that also includes here in Australia. If the online reaction to the trailer is anything to go by, it’s about to become A24’s next cult obsession.
