Horoscope forecast 2026: Here are the yearly predictions for all the zodiac signs

It’s a wild exercise to try and distil down the unparalleled astrology of 2025. In part, that’s because the planetary movements this year are far more active than in any of the five years I have been researching and writing these articles, and also because there are celestial happenings this year that have not happened simultaneously for hundreds of years.

There are so many changes this year, so much newness – which isn’t to say that it is bad or scary or negative – it’s simply new. I don’t think any of us have moved through the last several years without feeling a pressure cooker of energies. We can all feel that things are shifting and yet, toward what we do not know. The focus has been on fissures and polarities and endings rather than speaking to what our world, our planet could be on the other side of such dramatic times.

"We can all feel that things are shifting and yet, toward what we do not know."

In 2025, it’s like the structures and foundations for the next chapter begin to land, new visions take focus. Dare I say it, it feels quite hopeful?

We have the usual Mercury retrogrades, as well as a Mars and a Venus retrograde this year, which always prove to be strong personal transits. Both will connect us with what drives us, our instincts, our evolving values and relational selves. Take note of where both will be taking place in your chart.

Last year was one of many shifts and changes and, in line with it also being the year of the snake, a shedding of the skins that no longer vibrated in harmony. We certainly felt this within our personal lives and collectively, have we ever been more acutely aware of the balance and imbalance of things?

2025 felt like it went for about four months rather than twelve, such was the frenetic pace of it all. Now, in this new year we have a few of the same astrological movements happening once more, though in 2026 those planets will move signs and then stay put, rather than to-ing and fro-ing. Overall, it feels like last year was the prologue and this year is the first chapter, one in which the storylines can really get some momentum behind them. We begin with Neptune, the watery god of imagination, symbolism and boundary-lessness making its final move from its ruler Pisces (where it has lived since 2011) into Aries on January 26th, where it will reside until 2039. Saturn, the planet of integrity and self-mastery, will also make the move from Pisces to Aries on February 13th, where it will reside until April 2028.

"Last year was the prologue and this year is the first chapter, one in which the storylines can really get some momentum behind them."

With both transits we see this shift from Pisces to Aries, a threshold of sorts that takes us from the nebulous connective tissue of the collective dreamworld into the primal singularity of fiery Aries. This is a movement from womb to individual. There are themes alive here that range from taking our visions and dreams and utilising our action energy and will power to bring them to form, through to the necessity for integrity in the what and the why of creating the things in the first place. Are we building them to last, sustainably or are they effects of whimsy or an insatiable appetite for the new? Saturn in Aries will teach us about long-range time, practical application and to build in pragmatism with our action energy, tempering an insatiable (and oft immature) need for the new-new-new.

In April, Uranus, the telepathic satellite of ideas and new waves in consciousness, moves once more into Gemini. We tasted this last year (8th July - 9th November) and here in this mutable sign of openness and curiosity we have the chance for a great re-awakening of the free thinker. Fingers and toes are crossed. In the first months of this transit, one could certainly experience this as information overload, something many of us have become adepts at. Gemini works best when it is curating what it allows into its mind as without some kind of boundaries (values and interests being two) it will easily absorb whatever it puts its attention towards. A free mind is not one that is overrun with the slick quotes and pics and subliminal social codes of one’s echo chamber.

With this incredibly cerebral planet in this very cerebral sign, it feels like access to so many new layers of possibility and future being transmitted through the realm of idea and conversation. Both this sign and planet work best when someone is grounded in their body and in nature. Otherwise, it's like some kind of Phillip K. Dick novel, 24/7 at hyper-speed. The short of it is this, be open. Be open to what you don’t know (mostly everything), to other points of view. What do you think and sense and feel about a thing?

Since January of 2025, we have had the nodes, these two opposing energetic points, in the signs of Pisces and Virgo, with our eclipses across this axis. The cosmic curriculum has been around releasing anywhere we are gripping on so tightly to the granular that we miss the transcendent. It’s where we limit ourselves with such a harsh weight of expectation that we miss the creative play. It’s been a deep release of stress in the body and an opening to being held by something much bigger than us. Mystery made a comeback and our intuition whispered to us through our feelings and our dreams and our own recurring symbolism made itself known.

Come July, the Nodes will shift into Aquarius (North Node) and Leo (South Node). The South Node is what we are purging. And what we are exorcising is the immature and unconscious expressions of Leo. Namely, playing to the crowd, even if it means being deeply in-authentic. Being in-authentic in general. Self-censorship. Building your sense of self from the outside in, via external validation. Being performative. Jealousy and envy towards those who are authentic and individual. Who are living the thing or doing the thing that you want to do but haven’t yet mustered the courage to do. The medicine is in the conscious, mature expressions of Aquarius and includes the magic of self-validation, deeply walking your own path, staying true to you. This one feels so necessary and so timely. This is a collective move back towards being genuine. Falsehoods and inauthenticity feel viscerally grating and so obvious now.

"The South Node is what we are purging. And what we are exorcising is the immature and unconscious expressions of Leo. Namely, playing to the crowd, even if it means being deeply in-authentic."

This move to singing in tune with our own song is supported beautifully by Jupiter who will move into Leo on June 30th, residing here for the next year. Jupiter is our meaning maker, who learns experientially and here in Leo it feels like a renaissance of play and fun and joy. Of playful self-expression leading us into our own states of childlike innocence. This feels like a return to genuine self-expression, where authenticity is meaningful and openly shared, outside of the world of trending audio or trending anything. We are inherently creative beings, we know this. Perhaps this is a year in which we begin to have more discipline and integrity in where we put our life force, where we step outside the dopamine-hit-bubble and contemplate our long-term vision and begin to more fluently sing in tune with ourselves, living true to who we are and thus in turn, weaving our part of life into the collective tapestry of Earth.
