1/10 “This is the bedroom from the Segrado Palace in Venice which was relocated from Italy to The Met in NYC. I love that two major spaces, cultures, periods of time and cities combine in this room. I loved this whole wing of The Met – all the opulence is so intense! Mostly though, I love the curation in recreating these rooms, all the pieces of the puzzle come together to rebuild this space, especially the sense of natural window light that they achieve artificially. We originally went to The Met to see the ‘Heavenly Bodies’ exhibit which was amazing but seeing all the art history the Met houses was really fun. I am a bit of an art history nerd and love how you can transport through time and peer into a cultural moment like this.”
