Dream a little dream with Georgia Graham

Model, writer and RUSSH contributor Georgia Graham knows how to have fun with beauty: nights out call for glitter, and a red lip will never fail you.

My morning beauty routine is …
Very low maintenance. I use sunscreen every day, at the moment it’s a natural one called Solar Keys RX. I then curl my eyelashes and use a swipe of M.A.C Eyebrow gel, and perhaps a lick of mascara. If I’m going out I’ll use M.A.C lipstick - usually a combination of Ruby Woo and Lady Danger. I’m also a big fan of glitter. I like makeup that’s fun and that isn’t necessarily just for making you 'hotter'.

My night beauty routine is …
I cleanse my skin every night by massaging sweet almond oil over my face and then steaming with a hot cloth. I then rub it off which exfoliates the skin, and finish with a night oil, usually Dream Dream Dream by Neighbourhood Botanicals. My friend Micaela started the label - she’s a Byron babe who taught me everything I know about oils.

My favourite products for body are …
I really love oils right now, anything rich and luxurious that will save me from sandpaper skin - a by-product of London’s harsh winters and hard water.

The best beauty secret I’ve learned backstage is …
Always make friends with the make-up artists. They have the best products and the best stories.

When it comes to beauty I always …
Try to remember that if I am comfortable in my own then others will see it too. Confidence and self-respect are the ultimate primer.

My beauty icon is …
Michèle Lamy. Her look is very extreme but I love how dedicated she is to her aesthetic. Her look is about artistry and creativity, rather than a conception of 'perfected' beauty.

My biggest beauty indulgence is …
Sleep. In an age where time is money, sleep has become the ultimate luxury. And I need a lot of it!

The best advice on beauty I’ve received is …
Roald Dahl once said, “If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.” I think that’s true. Failing that, there’s always a red lip.

The best health advice I’ve received is …
Don’t smoke, don’t drink, don’t stay out late. All the boring stuff. My adherence to this wavers ...

The product I can’t live without is …
I’ve plugged M.A.C Eyebrow gel so many times I’m frankly quite surprised the PR hasn’t been in touch.
