Dr Martens is collaborating with Heaven by Marc Jacobs on two reimagined styles

Dr Martens Heaven

Dr Martens has once again collaborated with none other than Heaven by Marc Jacobs in what can only be described as a glow up of humble school shoe silhouettes and elevated sandals. A contemporary take on two classic Dr Martens styles, it leans into the 90s grunge aesthetics permeating current trends, a common theme in the brand collaborations.

What two styles are included in the Dr Martens and Heaven release?

Heaven by Marc Jacobs reimagines the signature Mary Jane in a new shoe, inspired by the rugged nature of the 80s. Featuring the classic T-bar in smooth black leather, it is stacked on a 1.5 inch Bex outersole with staple yellow stitching. Mary Jane shoes first gained popularity in the early 1900s and have become a staple of modern footwear, across genders. Initially first worn by children and young girls, Mary Jane shoes now transcend seasons and stereotypes to become a go-to silhouette

The second shoe style reinvented with a distinctly Heaven twist comes in the Dr Martens chunky Ricki Sandal. Produced using Brando leather – known for its buttery supple texture – the new version features adjustable straps and, of course, that instantly recognisable yellow stitching. Add in a brushed-silver clasp donning Heaven’s double-headed bear, the new sandal is primed for functionality and can be slipped on and off with ease. For those wanting a little more of a platform than the Mary Jane offering, the Ricki Sandal features a 1.9 inch quad neoteric sole.

In line with Heaven’s binary-defying and rebellion-underscorred roots, the collection continues Dr Marten’s narrative of challenging conventional feminine style, embracing an edgy synonymous with the 90s and adored by many loyal fans of the brand.

When can we shop the Dr Martens and Heaven collaboration?

For those wanting to don a pair of the two new styles in the months and years ahead, the Dr Martens x Heaven range will be available to purchase from June 6 – just over a week away.
