In partnership with Bonds
The perfect day with friends often unfolds in small, special details — the first coffee of the morning, a playlist looping in the background, the kind of laughter that doesn’t need explanation. And for stylist Lynn Mathuthu and DJ and sound curator Yemi Sul, these rituals are stitched into the fabric of how they create, connect, and spend time with their nearest and dearest. For them it's less about what they’re doing and more about who they’re doing it with.
As an extension of the Bonds As Worn By Us campaign, we invited them to lens their own daily rituals, the duo turning the camera on themselves – toward themselves and their closest circle – to capture the textures of both friendship and fabric.
Here, they draw us into their creative rituals and private worlds, all while embodying the ease and versatility of Bonds pieces, styled with their own distinctive touch. Soft, layerable and cheeky in all the right ways. In doing so, they remind us that true style emerges most powerfully when it is both personal and unapologetically authentic.

I like to start my day by …
Putting on music. It's the first thing I do when I wake up.
And end it with …
Exactly how I started it – putting on a playlist or Lana's Violet Bent Backwards over the Grass audiobook. It's the best thing to fall asleep to.
My daily rituals are …
I normally go to the gym first thing in the morning and then get my coffee on the walk home before starting my day.
The hardest decision I made today was …
I have not made any hard decisions yet, but I hope I do not have to!

When I get dressed each day, my priority is …
It's been raining incessantly, so my priority is staying dry. However, this is proving quite difficult as all of my pants drape to the floor and my shoes are impractical for any conditions.
I like to incorporate basics into my outfit by...
Layering. I love layering my basics, especially from Bonds, since we're in the middle of winter. You can add a layer of warmth whilst adding depth to your overall look.
When I’m with friends, we like to …
Play pool, watch the Hunger Games over and over, and dance. However, there hasn't been much of that lately and I look forward to the return of a day party.
Essentials to take for the day are …
Noise cancelling headphones, wired headphones (just in case the noise cancelling ones lose their battery), lip balm and house keys (although I'm always forgetting these).

My favourite Bonds pieces to style in my every day are ..
I loved styling the tank top with the black and grey hoodies. Layering the hoodies kept me warm during the unforgiving Sydney winter, but also made my outfit just that bit more interesting.
How do you blend fashion forward styling while utilising the basics?
Basics will never go out of style, they can be the perfect base to every outfit. For instance, pairing my Bonds basics with my gathered sweatpants and ribbed tank top allow me to layer my coat on top to add the structure missing from the outfit. Also, pairing the basics with some jeans is a classic look, tailored to me.
The soundtrack of our day is …
Fineshyt by Amaarae!
My favourite part of spending the day with Laura was ...
Going to RTTS Land and sourcing, Niahm is an angel so getting to see her was fabulous.

I like to start my day by …
My morning pages. I set a timer for thirty minutes, and in that time I do a fear inventory, a gratitude list, and write down what I’m manifesting – for the day or in general.
And end it with …
Indulging in film or TV. My recent go-to’s have been Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown, Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie’s The Curse, or the latest season of 90 Day Fiancé.
My daily rituals are …
Rooted in creativity. I give myself at least two hours to work on ideas – right now, I’m editing my first short film while keeping future projects in the pipeline alive. I balance that with little treats: a trip to the bakery for a really good pie, an almond matcha, and grounding myself by cooking.
The hardest decision I made today was …
The hardest decision I made today was not letting doubt consume me, and continuing to practice discipline by turning up to work. In the creative industries, the hardest part is the battle of the mind – it’s so easy to slip into complacency. Choosing to show up for myself has been something I’ve been working on for the past couple of months, and I’m starting to really reap the benefits.

When I get dressed each day, my priority is …
My priority is comfort – but also making sure I look good, and that whatever I wear doesn’t wear me. It should bring out my essence.
I like to incorporate basics into my outfit by …
I like to incorporate basics into my outfit by sticking to a kind of uniform — I always wear a tank, especially when I’m DJing. I’ll build around it with silver or gold jewellery, mini skirts, jeans, or cargos. The silhouette of a tank feels effortless and stylish, never distracting, and it lets me come through.
When I’m with friends, we like to …
When I’m with friends, we like to talk, giggle, sip martinis, eat good food, and most importantly, laugh. We make each other feel supported and heard – reminding one another that whatever we’re going through isn’t that serious, because we’ve all been there before.
Essentials to take for the day are …
Essentials to take for the day are lip balm, lip gloss, mints, and my phone — always ready to capture little unexpected mementos.

My favourite Bonds pieces to style in my every day are ...
My favourite Bonds pieces to style every day are my grey hoodie and a white tank. You really can’t go wrong – they’re timeless, versatile, and comfort is everything to me. With all the rain lately, the hoodie has been a staple, and I love that it can cover my hair when I want to. I even made a splash in a grey hoodie at my AFW crash-out party – it’s become a signature piece. Paired with a white tank – especially the Bonds ribbed ones with thin straps and that sheer, sexy-but-everyday feel. It’s the perfect uniform. To me, it’s anti-fashion in the best way: pared back, non-conformist, a nod to the times we’re in. And when I want a little colour, I love a red matching set underneath.”
The soundtrack of our day is …
The soundtrack of our day was a mix of Bon Iver – Matilda’s pick – and the Charlie’s Angels soundtrack, which was my first album. It’s got this perfect spread of rock, dance, R&B, and rap across decades. We circled back to Bon Iver a lot, but that balance felt just right.
My favourite part of spending the day with Matilda was …
My favourite part of spending the day with Matilda was how easily we slipped into dancing and laughing together, without even realising it. She brings out my silliest side, and our shorthand always makes me feel like I’m in some 90s rom-com stoner girl comedy with her. It’s honestly the best feeling in the world.
