My TikTok algorithm is fine-tuned to "hot women who cook" (see Gabbriette for further evidence). The latest face that's flooding my feed? That would be South African and German model Nara Smith, who currently lives in LA with her husband, model Lucky Blue Smith, and their two children Rumble Honey and Slim Easy. And, as our Content Director Elyssa Kostopoulos told the RUSSH office, everytime a video from Smith pops up, it slows down the otherwise breathless pace of the app. You could say she's our safe space on the internet.

Who is Nara Smith?

Nara Smith (née Pellman) was born in South Africa (where her mother is from) but moved to her father's birthplace, Germany, when she was only three months old. She began modelling at 14 years old and has since signed with IMG. When she was 18 years old, Smith uprooted to the United States alone, where she's lived ever since.

In the last year, Smith has gained a sizeable following thanks to her viral TikTok videos. Scrollers are intrigued by Nara Smith, especially since she is married to fellow model Lucky Blue Smith who was something of an internet sensation when he burst onto the scene in 2015. (Lucky Blue Smith also has a daughter, Gravity Blue Smith, from his previous relationship with model Stormi Bree. Gravity was born in July 2017.)

Both Nara and her husband are Mormon, adhering to the Church of Latter-Day Saints, though in a video Nara said she's not staunch about her beliefs and is still "learning and figuring out" what faith looks like to her.

There's no denying that Nara Smith has a flair for cooking. She even said that it's her love language. If you don't follow along on TikTok, Smith also has a cooking Substack called Paper Pantry.
