Prepare to be gripped by Sarah Snook’s chilling new series, ‘All Her Fault’

all her fault

We're in the midst of a thriller takeover, and it's officially entered the realm of television. The latest project to cross our desks is All Her Fault, a series en route to Peacock, starring none other than Sarah Snook and Dakota Fanning.

If the title sounds familiar, you're not imagining things. All Her Fault is adapted from Andrea Mara's best-selling novel by the same name, which was shortlisted for Crime Fiction Book of the Year at the Irish Book Awards 2021. Intrigued? Everything you need to know about All Her Fault, below.

Sarah Snook and Dakota Fanning lead the cast

Fresh from her Tony-winning foray as all 26 (yes, 26) roles in The Picture of Dorian Gray, and shedding her on-screen origins as Shiv Roy, Snook will lead the series as Marissa Irvine. Joining her is Dakota Fanning, who has had her fair share of spooky roles in recent years, including (spoiler alert) the unassuming villain in Netflix's recent hit, The Perfect Couple.

Also cast is Australian actor Thomas Cocquerel, plus Jake Lacy, Michael Peña, Sophia Lillis, Abby Elliott, Daniel Monks, Jay Ellis, Duke McCloud, and Kartiah Vergara.

What is All Her Fault about?

The story centres around Snook's character, Marissa. When she arrives to pick up her son, Milo, from a playdate with a boy at his new school, she's alarmed to be greeted by an unfamiliar woman, Jenny (played by Fanning) at the door — but she isn't the child's mother, isn't a nanny, and doesn't have milo.

Unsurprisingly, the horror of it all is how eerily normal the whole nightmarish situation is that begins to unfold.

Who else is involved?

The behind-the-scenes lineup is just as exciting as those on camera. Megan Gallagher is writing, creating, and executive producing the series, while Minkie Spiro is set to direct the first episode and executive produce.

Andrea Mara, who wrote the original novel, is on board as an associate producer.

When will it come out?

We'll be able to see this one before too long. The first four episodes of All Her Fault will air on 7 November, followed by two new episodes released every Friday, culminating in the finale on 21 November.
