Here at RUSSH, while we stay abreast of trends, we like to think our personal style is fairly unique. But of course, we're only human, and every so often, the internet makes us want things. As the year draws to a close, these were the items that shaped mood boards, dominated For You Pages, and emptied wallets all year long. Consider us influenced.

1. Miu Miu optical glasses

The studious-chic accessory is perhaps the most enduring relic of the office siren aesthetic that defined 2024. Slim, small, and oval-shaped, Miu Miu’s opticals became a favourite of It girls wanting to look both studious and chic. They sold out repeatedly and, we can report from personal experience, only suit a very distinct head shape.

2. The Sneakerina trend

Part ballet flat, part sneaker, fully divisive. This hybrid-shoe takeover lands somewhere between athleisure and balletcore, with brands from Puma to Acne putting their mark on the trend. Love them or hate them, you can't deny they were everywhere in 2025.

3. The Balenciaga City Bag

Still undefeated, the City bag continued its dominance into 2025 thanks to new colours, celebrity street style endorsements and the ongoing indie-sleaze-meets-moto-boho moment. Whether you opt for the reissued version or something vintage, 2025 proved that slouchy leather and giant studs simply never stopped being cool.

4. Labubus

Need we really say more? Labubus (and Lafufus, to be honest) basically took over the world this year, with the internet awash with blind unboxing videos for months now. Whether you choose to clip yours onto your bag, store it like a collectible, or not partake at all, this is one astronomic rise we didn't see coming.

5. All For Mimi tank top

This might look like a simple fitted tank top, and that's kind of because it is. However, leave it to TikTok to blow this one up – putting the whole world onto it's universally-flattering properties. Consider us fans.

6. Ninja Creami Machine

Don't knock it till you try it. In 2025, so many of us turned our kitchen benches into make-shift ice cream shops, thanks to the kitchen appliance that hijacked TikTok. Want to make a delicious dessert? Use your Ninja Creami. In need of a protein ice cream? The Ninja Creami can do that too.

7. Medicube skincare

This Korean skincare line became the brand of the year. Their toner pads and leave on sheet masks, in particular, went viral for leaving glass-skin-level glow in minutes.

8. Romantasy books

It's not exactly new, but 2025 was the year romantasy stopped being a niche BookTok category and became a full cultural force. Dragons, fae courts, enemies-to-lovers arcs, prophecies, forbidden magic… romantasy delivered the kind of emotional chaos and escapism the internet couldn’t get enough of. Two series in particular led the charge: ACOTAR and Fourth Wing.

9. Polka-dot everything

2025’s biggest pattern renaissance belonged to the humble polka dot. The print appeared on dresses, plates, nails, bows, swimsuits and even tech accessories. In other words, it was everywhere.

10. Pucci swim and resortwear

Speaking of prints, if there was one to sum up 2025’s summer moodboards, it was Pucci. The brand’s signature kaleidoscopic swirls dominated travel content from Capri to Coogee. Mini dresses, swimsuits, cover-ups and wrap skirts became the unofficial uniform of the annual Euro summer pilgrimmage, with travellers keen to channell the fashionable opulence of the brand's first heyday.
