It’s a slippery slope from “just browsing” to a full dining room revamp, but we’re not here to stop you. This month, the RUSSH editors are in their nesting era – sourcing oversized rugs, pepper grinders chic enough for a dinner party, and the candles to match. If you’re after a window into our carts and homes, scroll on.

I’ve been looking at rugs for my dining area and would like a very large one to encourage warmth. This Ginger Armadillo rug from their Heirloom collection would be perfect in their 3x4.2m size. Alternatively, this 3x4m Silvio Rug from RJ Living would be an (albeit deeper) nod to Pantone’s colour of the year – Mocha Mousse. Both rugs are made from wool, so whichever I choose will guarantee a cozy dining space.
Another dining room soft furnishing I’m looking to pick up is the Fia Frayed Edge Tablecloth - Natural from Cultiver. I like the farmhouse vibe.
The next thing on my homewares wish list is some coffee table books. I already have Tamsin Johnson’s Spaces for Living which I flick through often, but with goals of a maximalist coffee table, I need to expand my offerings for visitors and family. In my cart I have Architectural Digest at 100:A Century of Style, Banksy by Stefano Antonelli and Gianluca Marziani and The Creative ACT: A Way of Being by Rick Rubin. Of course my coffee table will not be complete without the latest RUSSH Mag and a fresh bunch of flowers in my Maison Balzac vase.
Lastly, I must get my hands on this Corey Ashford Oyster Incense Holder from Dinosaur Designs.

A friend recently in Copenhagen at 3DaysofDesign mentioned that the talk of the festival was HAY’s Ava Pyramid Table Lamp and I couldn’t agree more. It’s chic, minimal and a perfect accent to a mid-century room (very my vibe). I also recently bought some PEP peppercorns from Spring St. Grocer in Melbourne, and I’ve decided they need to be decanted into something much more chic than a Coles pepper grinder. I am loving these Addison Ross striped pepper mills at the moment. I also happened past Rainbow Studios’ stockroom sale this week and re-fell in love all over again with Cat Yenn’s Spring artwork, and Angus White’s Sans Titre (Portrait Verte), both of which I may not get to own right now, but you definitely should.

The perfect coffee table has eluded me for months now, but I think I’ve finally found it in the form of this dark oak one from RJ Living. I’ve also been on the hunt for the perfect everyday dinner plates and I cannot get enough of these deep earthy toned Serax ones. I will obviously also be treating myself to the dessert plates.
I’m always on the hunt for coffee table books as an easy way to add some personality to my space and Love Life featuring the drawings of David Hockney is the perfect addition for me. I’ve also been on the hunt for some new towels and these Hommey ones are satisfying my current burgundy craving.
Last but not least, candles. We all know I go crazy for kitschy homewares and these asparagus candles from Maison Balzac are right up my alley. The perfect addition to this silver candle stick holder which looks like melting ice cubes.

My husband and I are the only two in either of our families located in Sydney, so we often have visitors. I refuse to put an actual bed in our guest room (mostly because it's overrun with my clothes and beauty products) but finding a comfortable sofa that isn't an eyesore has been proving difficult… Fortunately my prayers have been answered in the form of this Eva Slideaway Sofa. I love its versatility but also the clean lines. It's got a cool Japandi feel about it. I think it's polite to offer guests nice bedding, too. Cultiver sheets are always worth it. I can't go past White Flax Linen (and they just get softer with every wash).
If you read these homeware round-ups frequently, you'll know that I've been looking for bedside tables for a better part of the year. I refuse to buy anything that's not perfect, but doing so within budget is tricky… This vintage Spanish set is beautiful, and not completely outrageous. If money was no object, I would be the proud owner of this exquisite hanging pair by Borsani Varedo. Imagine…
Also on my to-buy list right now: Flamingo Estate Roma Heirloom Tomato Candle (it's the best house smell in the world, just trust me) and Aesop Resurrection Hand Wash. Dry, ravaged winter hands are not ideal, but this exfoliating formula keeps them soft, no effort required.

I moved into an apartment six months ago and have (nearly) managed to furnish it. The last major thing missing is an armchair (or two), and in a dream world, it would be these two from 1st Dibs. Slightly more in my price range (but still beautiful, and so comfortable-looking) is this plush linen style by Rachel Donath.
Given it’s winter, there are a few pieces at Sheridan currently calling my name: in particular, this weighted blanket, which would be so cosy on the couch, and a pair of these striped cushions.
Kitchen-wise, I watched a TikTok cooking video over the weekend that utilised this bowl by Le Creuset, and naturally, I’m now hyperfixating on it. Also this espresso cup and saucer by Alex and Trahanas, for obvious reasons.
