What is Winter Games about?
Set in the emotionally charged bubble of the Winter Olympics, Winter Games follows two athletes — Steinfeld plays a fiercely overlooked skier chasing her shot at gold, while Teller plays hockey legend attempting to make his way back into the spotlight. When their paths collide in the Olympic Village, a mix of chemistry and competition threatens both her medal dreams and his shot at redemption.
Who is involved in Winter Games?
Paul Downs Colaizzo, best known for Brittany Runs a Marathon, is on board to direct, and also co-wrote the script alongside Pat Cunnane. The film is produced by Tim and Trevor White (of King Richard) under their Star Thrower banner, with Teller also producing.
For Steinfeld, Winter Games is the first project she's taken on following the monster success of Sinners, which saw her star opposite Michael B. Jordan and rake in over $365 million globally. The horror thriller also marked her return to music, with the single Dangerous from the soundtrack amassing over 4.7 million Spotify streams in its first month. When does Winter Games come out?
There’s no official release date yet for Winter Games, but with production underway, we expect it to land at some point in 2026.
