It's officially a Lorde summer (or winter, for those of us here in Australia). The singer is in the midst of one of the most hotly-anticipated musical resurgences in recent history, with the news of her fourth album, Virgin, and now, a world tour to go along with it. The tour, titled Ultrasound, kicks off in September, 2025, with a series of US dates, before Lorde will make her way to Europe, with the tour wrapping up in December.
It's an exciting time for Lorde fans across the globe, but here in the Southern Hemisphere can't help but wonder: will Lorde bring Ultrasound to Australia? Let's investigate.
So, will Lorde tour Australia?
At this stage, no. But all hope is not lost. Time and again, international artists announce world tours that venture to only a few cities in the US and Europe, and closer to the time, add dates in Australia.
With that being said, Lorde's existing Ultrasound tour schedule seems pretty packed, with not many rest dates between it's kick off in September, and conclusion in December. Our theory? Perhaps Lorde will head to her hometown in New Zealand for Christmas and New Years, and pick back up with the Ultrasound tour in 2026, with shows a little closer to home. Here's hoping.
What has Lorde said so far?
Not much. The singer took to Instagram to announce news of the Ultrasound tour, writing, "I am going on tour in support of my new album, Virgin. Very proud and excited to be bringing my most talented friends in support. Tickets on sale May 16, pre-sale May 14. Come see what’s under the skin."

Naturally, the comment section was quick to fill up with hopeful fans manifesting that Lorde will add a stop in their city. We can't help but agree.
