If you’ve heard the name Emily in the past year, chances are you’ve heard the name Spike Fearn, too. His latest romantic comedy, Finding Emily, has cast the British actor – and has us seeing him through distinctly rose-tinted glasses.
Fearn, however, is no breakout star – he's been steadily building a filmography that proves he has range, moving from the world of Alien: Romulus to the charms of a contemporary rom-com with ease. If he wasn’t already on your radar, consider this your cue. Earlier this year, RUSSH spoke with his Finding Emily co-star Angourie Rice, who reflected on the easy rapport the pair shared on set that naturally translated to screen. It's a film that I can easily say might be my favourite rom-com I have seen in quite some time. Universe, take this as a sign to put Spike Fearn in more romantic comedies, please.
So, if Finding Emily marks your introduction to the actor, allow us to make it official.
Finding Emily is his first leading role

Having appeared in films such as Aftersun, Alien: Romulus, and Ella McCay. Finding Emily is his first leading role, and most definitely won't be his last after playing the incredibly charismatic Owen. His next film that will be coming out soon is Sweetsick where he stars alongside Cate Blanchett.
He's a Jake Bugg fan
When Rice was discussing music influences during her time on set, she fondly mentioned Fearn introducing her to Jake Bugg. An English singer-songwriter who fits more in the folk-rock genre with his acoustic guitar always on hand. You'll often find Fearn sharing his music across his Instagram too.
He's a LOEWE ambassador

2026 seems to be the year of Spike Fearn, as of August this year he is the House's newly appointed ambassador. Creative director's Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez shared the news on LOEWE's Instagram, saying, "Spike carries something rare. A working-class kid from the Midlands who has moved through grief, horror, comedy and romance without once flinching – and who brings to each something entirely unresolved. That live quality is what we look for." Honestly, we couldn't say it better ourselves.
He's a Sagittarius
Fearn was born on 9 December, meaning he falls straight into the fire sign.
He wanted to be a MotoGP racecar driver as a kid
In an recent interview with Hollywood Authentic he shared that before he wanted to be an actor, MotorGP racing was his first love. "Valentino Rossi was my first idol. I was obsessed. I used to wear a t-shirt with Valentino Rossi on it all the time. And that was what I really wanted to be, a bike racer." he shared. And while he isn't one today, perhaps playing as a Motor GP driver in a future role could be the cards on the table.
His next film requires quite a bit of running
Pun intended – the film is actually called Running and it will be his second leading role to date. Currently in production, the film follows a gifted runner (Fearn) that channels his natural talent to escape his troubled history and chase his dreams as a runner. Produced by Apple TV, it's a film we're already adding to our watch-list.
