Angel, aka Priscilla Delgado, is our favourite thing about ‘Euphoria’ season three

priscilla

The road to the third (and possibly last) season of Euphoria has been long. And while we knew we were promised the return of some our favourite characters to screen at the end of it, what we didn't expect was a new face to steal the screen.

If you've watched episode two, you'll know exactly what — or should we say who — we're talking about. Angel was introduced to us as as one of the dancers at the Silver Slipper who takes a liking to Rue. But their relationship is short-lived when (spoiler alert), Angel learns her friend and fellow dancer, Tish, has died, and quickly finds herself on a dark path of substance abuse. At the end of the epsiode, Rue takes Angel to what appears to be a rehab centre — but whether the facility is a front for something much darker remains to be seen. All that is to say, Angel undoubtedly delivers one of the most compelling performances of the season so far, and we could barely wait for the episode to finish before Googling the actress behind it all.

So without further ado, get to know Priscilla Delgado, below.

She's was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico

The actress was born on 31 March, 2002, making her 24 at the time season three of Euphoria is airing — and an Aries.

She grew up in Madrid, but moved to the US in her early teens in pursuit of her acting career.

She's wanted to be an actress since childhood

In an interview with Metal Magazine, Delgado shared that her penchant for acting came naturally. "There wasn’t a specific moment when I realised it or when I watched a film and thought, this is what I want to do. No, it all came very naturally to me, from early on — like being born with a little star," she shared.

She's pretty prolific in the Spanish film industry already

That "little star" has led Delgado to roles like Lina in the hit Spanish series Los Protegidos, as well as Julieta, A League of Their Own, The Protected, Desaparecidos, and The Evil That Men Do (her first English-speaking role, and silver screen debut). Up next she's got a role in Hulu's new Prison Break series, playing a female inmate, Cheyenne.

She originally auditioned for Euphoria season two

Yep, when she was just 17 Delgado landed her first audition for the series. In an interview with Wonderland, she revealed the audition was for several "major" characters, saying, “I wasn’t prepared at that time for such an adventure, Imagine how stimulating it is to be part of something that you truly and deeply believe in, but not only you – a lot of people. Millions of people around the world.”

But she was successful in season three

It was a serendipitous turn of events that the first audition didn't work out, because Delgado told Wonderland that Angel is the character she "was most curious to explore." She shared, "When I got the news, it was a pinch-me moment. The Euphoria cast are the new generation of talent, inspiring so many people. Knowing I’d have the chance to meet them in person was absolutely immense.”

But don't call her an overnight success. Delgado explained to Glamour Spain, "Euphoria came... not out of nowhere, because I'd been doing a ton of auditions nonstop, but one day I got that email offering me the role and that's when I said, "This is a great opportunity." That's how I work; the bigger the project, the more motivated I feel."

She's already working with Balenciaga

It hardly comes as a surprise, but Delgado has already been snapped up by Balenciaga. She's not an official ambassador (yet, anyway), but was flown by the brand to Paris in March to attend the Autumn Winter 26 show. Yes, this was also the collection that featured a Euphoria collaboration, so no surprises there.

She also wore a custom look by the brand to the season three premiere. We smell a fashion-girl-in-the-making...
