We're calling it: we're on the cusp of a Malcom Todd summer. The singer has just dropped sophmore album, Do That Again, and we can practically feel winter melting away with every listen. You might know him best as the younger brother of another pop star on the precipice of superstardom, Audrey Hobert. But Todd is quickly carving out a name — and a sound — all of his own.

He's a Virgo
Todd was born on September 15, 2003, making him a Virgo, and 22-years-old at the time of writing.
He comes from a very talented family
As mentioned, Todd is the younger brother to Audrey Hobert, a singer songwriter who has gone from virtually unknown to headlining festivals in the course of one short year, thanks to her debut album, Who's The Clown? The siblings have even shared the stage, with Hobert bringing Todd out to perform Sue Me, the album’s lead single, alongside her.
And the talent doesn’t stop with the siblings. Their father, Tim Hobert, was a co-executive producer on the hit sitcom The Middle, which Todd himself made a small cameo in as a child. In other words, show business runs in the family.

He's the star of the latest GAP campaign
GAP denim campaigns are in a league of their own, and starring in one basically guarantees one's starpower. Naturally, Todd was the obvious choice for the brand's latest campaign, alongside scream queen Inde Navarette.
In the clip, Todd dances in his jeans to his own cover of Robyn's Dancing On My Own. Did someone say iconic?

He's always been creative
Don't let his recent success fool you, Todd has been at this for a while. He taught himself to play bass guitar at 16 as a pastime during the pandemic, and eventually graduated to the acoustic guitar.

He also wrote and produced music through high school with his friend, Charlie Ziman (who he still works with). The pair put out Todd's first EP, Demos Before Prom, in 2022. But it wasn't until the following year that he started gaining recognition, with his songs Art House and Roommates going viral on TikTok. He went on to release his first self-titled album in April 2025.
He performed at Laneway in 2026
Amidst his touring schedule for his first studio album, Todd made a pit-stop in Australia to perform at Laneway festival. RUSSH was on the ground for the show, and even managed to snap a few polaroids with Todd when he came off stage.
While he was here, Todd performed his first headline shows Down Under, in Melbourne, Sydney, and Wellington.
