At San Diego Comic Con in July, Black Panther director Ryan Coogler announced that Jonsson would be taking up the gauntlet as the new lead of the series for its third instalment. The film, set to be released on 15 December 2028, will see Jonsson play playing an adult Prince T'Challa II.
He's newly a LOEWE ambassador

The young British actor joined the Spanish fashion House in July, under Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. The appointment marks one of the first ambassador announcements since the design duo took the reins last year.

Jonsson took home the prestigious acting award in 2025, where he told the crowd: "I'm just an East London boy who, by way of reflection, didn't really see a space for me in this industry. But this award is about the people. And as long as we keep telling stories about the people, I think there'll be a space for me."

He was expelled from school as a teenager

Jonsson was expelled from his school in East London's Newham at age 16 for fighting and truancy, he told The Guardian earlier this year. “I wasn’t a bad kid at all,” he insists. “I was just a bit … distracted at the time.”
After being expelled, he moved to a school in Hammersmith and discovered acting through school plays and the National Youth Theatre.
He rose to fame playing Gus in Industry
