Her upbringing and family life

Infiniti, born on May 5, 2000, is a Taurus and a proud musical theatre graduate from Indianapolis.

With a strong background in theatre and training as a dancer, she has long been drawn to the magic of stage and screen, especially the charm of movie musicals. She openly admits her love for Disney, telling intervieweres: “I’d be lying if I said I was not obsessed with Tangled or The Princess and the Frog.”

Her passion for performing began early, auditioning for a school musical at the age of 10, a moment that set her on the path to her artistic career. In 2022, she graduated from Columbia College Chicago, further cementing her dedication to her craft.

She's campaigning for a  Lead Actress Oscar for One Battle After Another

With the film emerging as a serious contender in this year’s awards season, campaign representatives confirmed exclusively to Variety that Infiniti will compete in the lead actress category at the upcoming Oscars. Remarkably, the role also marked her feature film debut – where she made a striking impression as Willa Ferguson, the daughter of DiCaprio’s character, Bob, a former radical.

Should she secure a nomination, Infiniti would join a rare circle of actors recognised by the Academy for their first feature performance – a distinction shared by legends like Julie Andrews in Mary Poppins and Keisha Castle-Hughes in Whale Rider.

“For me, this is the dream,” Infiniti said of the experience. “Being in an action film, doing fight choreography – you can’t script something like this. I grew up watching these kinds of movies, and now I get to live them.”

How did she get the role?

Infiniti auditioned for Anderson four times. At first, she had almost nothing to go on—no script, no title, and only the barest outline of a character. It wasn’t until after she completed a chemistry read with DiCaprio that she finally received a script.

That audition happened on the eve of the 2023 actors’ strike. Months later, the day after the strike ended, Anderson sent her a simple text: Can you come to LA? Once there, she spent a week in mixed martial arts training under the director’s watchful eye.

One evening, as Infiniti sat in the hotel lobby, Anderson approached her casually. “So if you didn’t know,” he said, “you got the part.”

What else has she been in?

You may recognise her as Jaden Sabich in the Apple TV+ limited series Presumed Innocent (a remake of the 1990s legal thriller). The show was the first time Infiniti acted on camera. “I got better after the second and third day,” Infiniti told Vogue in a recent interview. “But I was definitely shaking.”

Otherwise might have glimpsed her in Tyler, the Creator's Darling, I music video.

What's she got coming up?

Infiniti is set to share the screen with Corey Mylchreest in The Julia Set, director Niki Byrne’s sophomore feature, scheduled to begin shooting in Los Angeles at the end of the month.

She's also spent the past five months in Toronto filming The Testaments, the sequel series to The Handmaid’s Tale. Based on Margaret Atwood’s novel and set 15 years after the events of the original, the series once again features Ann Dowd as Aunt Lydia and centres on the intertwined stories of three women living under Gilead’s regime. Infiniti portrays one of them, a character named Agnes.
