Alert the ton: Here’s when ‘Bridgerton’ season 4, part 1 and 2 drop in Australia

bridgerton

Dearest reader, the wait is finally over. Bridgerton season four: part one officially arrived on 29 January, and we were more ready than ever to be transported back to the glittering world of Regency London — romance, secrets, scandals and all.

But of course, this season (like the last) comes in two drops, a part 1 and a part 2. If you've binged through part 1 already and ready to press play the moment more episodes drop, here’s everything you need to know about where and when to watch Bridgerton season four: part one and two, plus what to expect from the new chapter.

Why is season 4 being released in two parts?

Much like season three, Bridgerton season four has been split into two instalments. Part one, released on 29 January and included the first four episodes. Part two includes the remaining four, and will arrive on February 26, 2026.

Where to watch Bridgerton season 4, part 1 in Australia

As always, Australian audiences can stream Bridgerton season four: part one, exclusively on Netflix. The series remains a Netflix original, meaning there’s no other streaming platform — or television network — where you can watch it locally.

All four episodes in part one will be available at once, and are included with a standard Netflix subscription.

What time does Bridgerton season 4, part 1 drop in Australia?

Netflix releases new series globally at the same moment, which means the exact release time varies by time zone. For Australians, Bridgerton Season 4 Part 1 lands on the evening of January 29. Local timings are as follows:

  • 7pm AEDT — Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Hobart
  • 6pm AEST — Brisbane
  • 6:30pm ACDT — Adelaide
  • 5:30pm ACST — Darwin
  • 4pm AWST — Perth

In other words, it’s perfectly timed for an after-work watch.

What is Bridgerton season 4 about?

Season four (finally) shifts its focus to Benedict Bridgerton, the family’s second son, and his long-awaited love story. Inspired by Julia Quinn’s novel An Offer from a Gentleman, the season also introduces Sophie Baek (played by none other than Australian Yerin Ha), a young woman whose life straddles two worlds — she has a glimpse at privilege from afar, but is held back by her servitude and class.

True to Bridgerton form, expect lavish ballrooms (including a masked ball which kicks off the season), social hierarchies and a lot of yearning.
