What’s on across Australia this February

February signals the final stretch of summer in Australia. The days are still warm and bright, but there’s a sense of time speeding up — and with it, an urge to make the most of what’s left of the season.

Across Australia, the month brings a mix of major moments and smaller happenings: from touring exhibitions and live music to outdoor performances, film screenings under the stars and music festivals. Whether you’re chasing a big night out or a slow weekend, February offers something for every pace. From coast to city, here’s our guide to what’s on around Australia in February 2026.

 

NSW

From 19–25 February, ButterBoy is introducing a limited-edition Mystery Cookie across all stores. On14 February, The Nespresso Lab is celebrating Valentine's Day by taking over Pitt Street from 10am-2pm with complimentary Mocha Coladas, Milk Chocolate & Coconut Tarts by Shadow Baking and live DJ sets from Tigerlilly and Ebony Boadu. You can also expect arcade-style games, giveaways and plenty of sweet treats.

Cinnamon Club is hosting its first event – CUPID: A PARTY ALL ABOUT LOVE – on Saturday 14 February at Poor Tom's in Marrickville. The event is set to be a glamorous, community-driven night centred on girls, gays and everyone fabulous – a way to re-romanticising Sydney nightlife with international DJs, mouth-watering wood-fire pizzas from Oltra, and elevated conceptual elements. Fabbrica Darlinghurst has launched its regional dinner series, ‘Fabbrica Presents…’, kicking off with a focus on Puglia on February 25th. On the night, guests can expect a set menu from Puglia ($85) of antipasti, primi, secondi and dolce, designed to share. Make a booking here.

Apollo is turning 14, and to celebrate tables of four or more will be treated to The Apollo’s iconic Saganaki Cheese with Honey & Oregano on the house, from 9–13 February.

Paddo Inn is launching its Paddo Nights Inn program, kicking off with 'Whispers & Wine' on 16th February, led by psychic medium Angelina. Guests will indulge in wine and canapés, while exploring the history of psychic phenomena, followed by live group readings. Bookings available here.

Griffin Theatre Company will present The Elocution of Benjamin Franklin, from 21 February–29 March at the Downstairs Theatre, Belvoir St Theatre.

Celebrate Valentine's Day with Fever's two special concerts. The Candlelight: Valentine’s Day Special, held at St Stephen’s Uniting Church on February 13th, features a string quartet performing timeless love songs. And on February 19, experience The Best of Bridgerton on String at Grand Lodge Masonic Centre.

Iolanthe is launching events label Cinnamon Club, and kicking it off with CUPID - A PARTY ALL ABOUT LOVE this Valentine's Day. They're collaborating with Poor Toms Distillery and Pizza Oltra (Marrickville) to create a night of flirtation, wood-fired pizzas and community-based partying.

Ace Hotel is hosting Design Rendez-Vous – French Connection on Wednesday 25 February, a conversation exploring cultural exchange, craft, and contemporary practice between France and Australia. Celebrate International Margarita Day at Julio's Mexicana in Port Stephens on February 21. Enjoy a set menu of Julio's favourite tacos and snacks with bottomless beverages including margaritas, prosecco and beer. Bookings available here.

Magnum Ice Cream's collaboration with Humble Bakery is on sale from 21 - 27 February. Each menu item features a full-size Magnum ice cream hiddeninside Humble's cult-favourite baked goods, including finger buns, croissants, and tiramisu affogato.

Belvoir St Theatre is premiering A Mirror, written by acclaimed British playwright Sam Holcroft and directed by rising Australian talent Margaret Thanos. It runs from 21 February – 22 March, with tickets available here.

Celebrate Valentine's Day at Stokehouse with a four-course set menu ($200pp), designed around premium produce and seafood, including caviar and a bone marrow donut, yellowfin tuna, a choice of Murray cod or Robbins Island 9+ sirloin for mains, and a blackberry and chocolate heart to finish.

NGV is hosting a Fashion Illustration with Dior class on February 14, a two-hour workshop where participants learn observational fashion illustration techniques while exploring Dior garments from the NGV Collection. Bookings and more information here.

The Moonlight Cinema continues its residency in the Royal Botanic Gardens, showing cult classics and box office blockbusters until 5 April. Tickets available here.

The Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery, along with sister venues on the Great Ocean Road and the Mornington Peninsula, are hosting their annual ice cream festival from February 11-22. More information available here.

 

QLD

The EUROPA! Film Festival is expanding to Brisbane for the first time, taking over cinemas from 19 February - 1 March, with 43 films representing 22 countries across Europe. See the program and plan your visit here.

The Gold Coast Open returns to Burleigh from 18 - 22 February, when the world's top surfers will take to the waves. Spectators can enjoy live music and food offerings while they watch the competitors.

Ed Sheeran is bringing his Loop tour to Suncorp Stadium on 20 - 22 February. Tickets are available here.

 

WA

Perth Festival is back for a month-long celebration of art, music, and community from 6 February - 1 March. Catch up on the full program here.
