Troye Sivan brings his creative world to Penfolds with a limited-edition Bin 389

In partnership with Penfolds

In recent years, Troye Sivan has become as much a fixture of the fashion world as he is the music charts. Between front-row appearances, film roles and a growing presence in design and creative direction, the Australian artist has built a reputation for moving easily between disciplines. His latest project continues that trajectory: a creative collaboration with the historic Australian wine house Penfolds.

The partnership sees Sivan lend his creative perspective to one of the brand’s most recognisable bottles, resulting in Bin 389 Designed by Troye Sivan, a limited-edition interpretation of the brand's much-loved Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz. Bin 389 has long been considered a cornerstone of the Penfolds portfolio, but this new release reimagines it through Sivan’s creative lens, bringing together the heritage of the winemaker with Sivan's contemporary touch.

The collaboration was introduced in fittingly stylish fashion during Paris Fashion Week, where Sivan hosted an intimate dinner in the city, gathering a small circle of friends and creatives to mark the occasion. Australian chef James Henry, of Le Doyenné, cooked for the evening, which felt like a haven away from the noise of the week’s packed schedule. Between courses and pours of Bin 389, conversation flowed easily — the kind of relaxed, convivial atmosphere that the best dinner parties tend to create. And after great food and a lot of clinking wine glasses, Sivan and his friends slipped away from the dinner table for an evening on the dance floor.

Moments like these sit at the heart of the partnership. Rather than focusing solely on the bottle itself, the collaboration leans into the idea of shared experience — the little moments that gather people around a table and carry on long after the final glass has been poured. In that sense, Sivan’s involvement feels particularly fitting: his creative world has always been shaped by community, connection and culture, whether on stage, on screen or at a dinner table surrounded by friends.

Before the action, Sivan caught up with RUSSH's Editor-in-Chief Jess Blanch to delve deep into the collaboration. In three words or less, see how Sivan feels about Paris, Fashion Week, and getting creative with Penfolds, below.
