Oh, we are so back. It's been more than two years since the chaos of The White Lotus last graced our screen, but with season three now officially here, it's safe to say things are just as chaotic as we remembered. This time around, we're trading the sun-soaked shores of Sicily for the vibrant backdrop of Thailand, where a whole new ensemble cast is indulging in their own absurdities, drama, and inevitable downfall. If you thought the characters in the past seasons were wild, get ready to take it up a notch. We're talking potential incest, a girls trip that goes south within the first five minutes, and a surprise appearance from a season two villain... And that was all in episode one.

Season one was all about money, while season two ventured into sex. This time around? It’s “death and Eastern religion and spirituality,” according to creator, Mike White. Judging from episode one, these themes are already in full effect, with a heavy-handed dose of White's signature satire thrown in for good measure. As with the previous two seasons, it seems likely that one of the guests will be checking out of The White Lotus in a body bag, though exactly who remains unclear.

There's also a few differences about the new season. Most glaringly — and to the internet's serious dissatisfaction — the theme song has changed. Yep, if you were looking forward to hearing the weird operatic tones we'd come to know and love from The White Lotus, we hate to break it to you, but you won't find them here: season three has traded its intro tune for something a little more subdued.

If you're looking for someone to sympathise with, you'll definitely find them online.
