Chloë Sevigny joins the cast of new TV series ‘The Five-Star Weekend’

Our fave Chloë Sevigny is headed to Nantucket – and we’re already packing our emotional baggage. The indie darling and style icon has joined the cast of The Five-Star Weekend, Peacock’s upcoming TV drama series created by This Is Us writer Bekah Brunstetter and based on Elin Hilderbrand’s bestselling novel of the same name. And while Jennifer Garner might be top-billed as the series' protagonist, Hollis Shaw – a food influencer with a seemingly charmed life – we’ve got a feeling Sevigny’s role is going to be the unexpected fifth star in more ways than one.

What is the series about?

At its core, The Five-Star Weekend follows Shaw as she navigates grief after a shattering personal loss. And on a quest to feel like herself again, she invites four women – each from different chapters of her life – to stay with her at her dreamy Nantucket home: one from her childhood, one from her twenties, one from her thirties… and a mysterious fifth. Yes, it’s coastal, yes it’s glossy, but this the show isn't shaping up to be your usual feel-good escape – secrets are unearthed, relationships unravel, and selfhood is redefined.

Who is in the cast?

Enter Chloë Sevigny and Regina Hall, playing two of the core friends. Sevigny, with her signature bite and off-kilter charm, feels like the perfect casting for a character who may have grown up with Hollis but never really left the past behind. We're expecting layers. Definitely tension. Maybe a linen caftan or two – why not! And, of course, that delicious Sevigny delivery – dry, sharp, always a little too honest – in contrast to Garner’s picture-perfect persona is going to be TV magic.

When will it be released?

With production still in play, we likely won't be seeing this one on screens until 2026.
