Did Tame Impala just announce an Australian tour?

tame impala

It's been a big year for Tame Impala fans. Not only has Kevin Parker announced his first album in five years, Deadbeat, (which drops on October 17, ICYMI) but now, it seems like an Australian tour could follow suit.

If news of witnessing what will surely be our next musical hyper-fixation IRL, courtesy of Australia's best (no bias) musical export has you giddy, we've got you covered. Everything we know about Tame Impala's rumoured Australian tour, below.

Why do fans think Tame Impala is about to announce an Australian tour?

Parker announced a Deadbeat tour overseas just two weeks ago, however Australia was sadly left off the list.

But Aussie fans were quick to regain hope, when they noticed a sneaky detail on Tame Impala's official website. Fans noticed that when you navigate through to the 'Shop' section, you're met with a not-so-cryptic message. It reads: "Order Deadbeat to receive pre-sale access for the opportunity to purchase tickets for Tame Impala's future, yet to be announced tour of Australia."

We hate to put words in Parker's mouth, but this basically confirms a tour in the near future, doesn't it?

When would the tour be?

Unfortunately, this much remains to be seen. However, we're hopeful that it could be sooner than we think. The overseas tour kicks off in October 2025, with shows in the US booked in until November. After that, there's a gap in the schedule until April, 2026 in Porto, Portugal, with shows scheduled across Europe and the UK until May.

We know that Deadbeat more generally is an ode to the the free-spirited parties of the 80s  and 90s, and the bush doofs in remote outback clearings of WA. Ad much like the first single, 'End Of Summer', much of this theme revolves around long, hot summer days. Following this logic, we're hopeful that a Tame Impala tour could be timed with the Australian summer (and possibly festival season, if we're lucky), which would put it somewhere between December 2025, and February 2026.

How can you get tickets?

Without a firm announcement, there's no way of knowing when tickets will go on sale. What we do know, however, is that your best bet of being across the news when it (hopefully) happens, is to order Deadbeat via the Tame Impala website. That way, you'll be on the presale list. You can order the album here.
