Inspired by the hypnotic movement of jellyfish, the collection channels the ocean not simply as a reference, but as a living design language shaped by light, colour and motion. A fitting release as we celebrate Earth Month this April.
With four new additions – Flower Hat, Sea Wasp, Medusa and Pacific Sea Nettle – SCUBAQUA expands its visual universe through a spectrum of saturated hues: aqua green, midnight blue, solar orange and electric fuchsia. Each model is articulated through translucent layers that echo the anatomy of its namesake, creating a sense of depth and diffusion, as though the watches themselves are suspended beneath the surface. The effect is immersive rather than literal – an interpretation of marine life that feels both playful and precise.
This interplay between softness and structure sits at the heart of the collection. The 44mm case, crafted from a fusion of Bioceramic and biosourced materials, offers durability while maintaining a lightweight, almost tactile fluidity. Opaque white elements provide a graphic contrast, while transparent sections – derived from castor oil – introduce a subtle, tentacle-like translucence that reinforces the oceanic narrative. It’s a material dialogue that mirrors the jellyfish itself: delicate in appearance, yet inherently resilient.

Designed for exploration above and below the sea, each model is water-resistant to 10 bar, with glow-in-the-dark details ensuring legibility in shifting light conditions – from sunlit surfaces to deeper, darker environments. The crown, positioned at 10 o’clock, lends both ergonomic ease and a distinctive visual signature, reflecting Swatch’s instinct for rethinking conventional design codes.
This technical evolution extends further with the introduction of Swatch Pay on select models. Seamlessly integrated into the Sea Wasp and Medusa editions, the feature enables secure, contactless payments directly from the wrist – a quiet yet considered enhancement that aligns with the collection’s spirit of movement and adaptability.
