The ‘RUSSH’ editors share our summer workwear for 2026

As we circle back to work life, the RUSSH team are getting our ducks in a row when it comes to our Summer wardrobe – and therefore – workwear. These are the pieces we cannot live without, in and out of the office. From fashion workwear to accessories, footwear and carry all bags, we hope this finds you well.

Light materials in diaphanous cuts are the way I approach summer workwear and tailoring. This Lee Mathews Maggie Pant is mostly silk – perfectly lightweight – and in this gorgeous slate colourway. Alternatively, this beautiful Lee Mathews Peggy Skirt in a subtle stripe with yellow band. Summery and the ideal counterpart to a simple white tee or tank. I’m really leaning into the Boho tunics atm – and this Viola Linen Tunic from VRG GRL is a must. I might even get it for Laneway to pair with some shorties. And finally, I’m a sucker for a knit polo, and Assembly Label have this perfectly sky-blue Sloane Cotton Cashmere Polo that is NEED.

I love summer workwear pieces that can easily translate into an off-duty wardrobe. I saw this Bayse shirt and I think it fits the bill perfectly. I could easily buy everything on the Elka Collective website but in particular I love these brown pants, this white breezy dress and this brown dress.

I really love the Bassike plain tanks for layering. They’re so versatile and really comfortable. I was also thinking about buying a denim vest top, I think they look so cool with a pair of tailored pants. To tie it all together, I love a kitten heel. I know flats are often more chic these days but I’m a shorty and I like a couple of extra inches courtesy of sandal, these Tony Bianco ones will do the trick.

I like to keep things relatively simple when it comes to summer workwear — staying cool and comfortable is my main criteria. This maxi dress by Elka Collective really nails the brief, and I love that you can dress it down with a pair of Havianas on the weekend. I think a roster of good quality cotton tanks is essential for a functional workwear wardrobe, and Flore Flore is my current favourite. I love the more modest cut of this style — I need one in every colour. I wear mine with trousers (this pair by Beare Park are currently on my wishlist, as is the black version of this pair by Venroy — the cream is currently my most-worn wardrobe item). I quite like a skirt in the warmer months too, and this one by St Agni has great 90s vibes.

Last but certainly not least, accessories. A great work bag is essential. I’m in the market for a new one, and this style by Call It By Your Name has really caught my eye. It’s so fun! As for shoes, I would be lost without ballet flats, and I’m obsessed with this silvery-grey woven pair for the summer months.

Now that summer holidays are over, I do enjoy getting ‘dressed’ again. I feel January work dressing can be a little more casual than normal and these cute Chloe Jelly Sandals bring the beach vibes, and the cute kitten heel says that we’re back to business. A pencil skirt combined with a loose fit T is a chic and easy January combo. On the wish list is this Saint Laurent  leather skirt, or perhaps this Ralph Lauren skirt, with a Bassike oversized T. Accessorised with this Amber skeats necklace and topped off with these Loewe sunglasses. And a bright Hermes nail polish to bring joy, as it is summer after all.

For me Summer workwear is all about the perfect balance between staying comfortable and practical. This maxi dress from Wynn Hamlyn is my go to warm weather staple. For a two piece alternative, a cotton jersey scoop neck cami from Skims paired with this jersey maxi skirt from Leau Clothing is a modern and minimal take on office dressing that feels fresh and breathable. These Celine oval sunglasses add a sleek, designer edge. Especially for sunny commutes or outdoor meetings.

I have been obsessed with Maria Farro this Summer and these leather sandals are high on my workwear wishlist at the moment. I’m also slowly starting to build out silver jewellery which aligns really nicely with my work essentials. These Kirstin Ash hoops and this delicate necklace from Noah the Label are also high on my radar. To tie it all together this laptop case is perfect for keeping the essentials stylishly organised.

Summer workwear editors round up

I’m on a mission at the moment to have as much cotton and silk in my wardrobe, sorry Linen but you crease too much for me, so really just want well made wardrobe staples for returning to work. Many things on my wishlist I’m hoping will turn up second hand as I have a post-present bank account. However, first on the list is just the perfect white cotton shirt. The Harlow Shirt from Camilla and Marc seems as good a place as any to start, and it doesn’t hurt that it is on sale…I also love their Rover Pant with the button detailing. Since scoring a little red pair of vintage Westwood shoes, Vivienne is back on my radar and I love her Violin Shirt, which I would wear with a tie because a collar that big can handle it and, of course, the black corset dress. I’m admiring from afar these Jil Sander leopard print mules, they would be very fun under an all black suit or even with a blue denim for both work and play.

I find dressing for the office in summer so simple, perhaps because less layers are required. I love the look of a pant, like these Cos Barrel trousers, paired with my favourite white tee from Leset and a ballet flat. I’ve also been looking for a cinched basic tee, and this from Róhe fits the brief. Rohe is so great for elevated workwear - their relaxed drawstring trousers would also be great for the office. Additionally, I've been eyeing this light-wearing striped shirt from Incu, and this Arket pleat top which feels suitable for meeting-heavy days.

For my carry-all, I love this bowling bag shape from DeMellier - the suede forest green is divine. For something more relaxed, I recently got this tote from Dragon Diffusion and use it most days. In my bag, you’ll find my 2026 planner from Creators Friend. They create bespoke planners which I’m finding helpful for staying on top of my work and personal admin.
