AM:PM.RC’s running guide to Melbourne

I want you to move. Melbourne's AM:PM Running Crew - AM:PM:RC for short - know's it's hip to be fit. Founded by Ben Clement, Dan Purnell and Nic Hawker, the group consists of likeminded local creatives who run weekly in Melbourne and across the globe. Here, Clement shares with RUSSH two of his favourite routes to get the heart rate rising in the city.

North Melbourne
"Early morning run into the Capital City Trail and up into Royal Park, just as the sun is coming up over the city you get this epic view in this expansive and beautiful park. I usually stop into Auction Rooms cafe for coffee/breakfast after. The sun is usually streaming through the windows in the morning so it’s pretty dreamy."

City Jaunt
"We [the crew] always meet in a central spot in the city, close to the National Gallery of Victoria. Allowing for a mix of environments we usually run around The Tan Running Track which is a part of the Botanical Gardens. Jumping across the Yarra and around Fitzroy Gardens and then into the city past Parliament Station and down into Federation Square to finish the loop back where we started. I usually suggest ramen afterwards at Little Ramen Bar, especially heading into winter, it’s warming and has all the good nutrients we need. A good beer after a run is always pretty good too."
