Statement side tables are dominating our Instagram feeds

The last few years have seen a rejection of the previously favoured neutral minimalism, in lieu of more dynamic interiors. Beige and grey has its place, but new interior moods like Italian Summer or Safari Chic are introducing vibrancy and excitement into styling our homes.

One such trend that has recently emerged all over our Instagram feeds is the statement side table.

Small in size but big in impact, the statement side table is a simple way to add bold personality into your space. Side tables are rarely a big investment, yet they can transform your room into something chic and photo-worthy. As long as you select the right piece, you can add an injection of colour and shape to an otherwise ordinary space.

So, how to know which is right for you? Take your cues from the Instagram inspiration. A clash of colour, a blue against orange or a yellow against green, can add a unique point of interest. Or maybe you might want to play with texture and material instead? Contrast metal against a leather couch. Or perspex against a wooden bedframe.
