A new seasons always offers the perfect time for reinvention. It doesn't necessarily have to indicate a complete overhaul, but subtle changes to energise you for the remainder of the year (what little of it we have left, anyway). Spring beauty is the perfect way to do so – an unexpected colour combination, new hair cut, fun manicure or similar can do wonders for your mood and sense of self. What better time to experiment than now, while the weather warms and our calendars fill up with social events?
To offer you some inspiration, we've curated some of the best Spring beaut trends according to RUSSH, from Phoebe Philo inspired manicures to French hair combs (see The Row).
80s Shag
Pamela Anderson is our beauty north star these days. Follow suit and go bare-faced whilst cutting your hair into a razored 80s shag. Debbie Harry is another great reference.

Eye Bags
If you're dragging your feet to the end of the year (because, same) forgo concealer and embrace any under-eye shadows. If it's good enough for Charli XCX and Gabbriette, it's good enough for us. You can even add a soft black liner, or some taupe shadow underneath to enhance the air of exhaustion.

Hair Combs & French Rolls
Despite the phone ban at The Row's recent Paris runway, the show hair look has kind of gone viral. Consider it a sign to scour eBay for vintage hair combs.

Monochrome Makeup

Subtle metallics
It's party season, and so time to dust off your metallics. It doesn't need to be confined to your eyelids, either. Press it onto cheekbones and on the cupid's bow for an all-over ethereal finish.

Bobby Pins
More hair inspiration, this time from the Khaite runway. Perfect for high humidity or when you've stretched out the time between shampoos just a little too far.

Multi-Coloured Manicures
This Phoebe Philo campaign made its way around the RUSSH team group chat, just just for the great lip colour but for the manicure.

Baby Pink
I just can't stop thinking about the Chloe runway beauty look: a soft chalky matte pink. While hard to wear, it makes a case for pastels and pink in general (a nice departure from classic red or berry).

Blunt Bangs
We're still thinking about the late, great Jane Birkin – and of course her perfect hair. If you're thinking about a fringe, Jennifer Lawrence is a great modern example of heavy bangs that are so bold and distinctive, they basically are the outfit.

Plaits
I love this hair look because it would work equally well on the weekend as it would for a black tie dinner. Simple, undone but purposeful.
