The Night Agent might have become one of Netflix’s biggest hits, but even fan favourites aren't always guaranteed to stick around forever. Yep, much to fans' dismay, Netflix has announced the series will end with its upcoming fourth season.
For many, this has understandably left a gaping hole in their watch-schedule. But luckily, there's plenty more where The Night Agent came from to fill that gap. Whether you loved the White House intrigue, covert operations, or constant sense of danger, these shows capture the same addictive energy that made it such a hit. Below, seven shows like The Night Agent that have what it takes to become your next obsession.
Killing Eve
An all-time personal favourite of mine. It follows an intelligence investigator (Sandra Oh) who becomes obsessed with tracking a highly skilled (and very well dressed) assassin (Jodie Comer) operating across Europe. As the pair continue to cross paths, their relationship develops in more ways than one.

Bodyguard
After stopping a terrorist attack on a train, a war veteran is assigned to protect a controversial British politician while uncovering a wider political conspiracy. The series follows him as he becomes increasingly entangled in threats against the government. It's tense, fast-moving, and packed with twists.

The Recruit
Slightly lighter in tone, The Recruit stars Noah Centineo as a newly hired CIA lawyer who is pulled into the world of international espionage after a former asset threatens to expose agency secrets. The role starts as a desk job but turns into a dangerous global mission involving assassins and intelligence operatives.

Jack Ryan
CIA analyst Jack Ryan is thrust into active field missions after uncovering suspicious financial transactions linked to terrorism. Each season follows a different geopolitical threat, ranging from political coups to international warfare. There's also a book series (which the show is based on) if you're looking to add to your TBR list.

Slow Horses
For something slightly darker and more sardonic, Slow Horses offers a slightly different take on the classic spy genre. The series centres on a group of disgraced MI5 agents banished to a dead-end department after making various career-ending mistakes. Despite their exile, they repeatedly find themselves caught up in major national security threats and covert operations.

Homeland
A CIA officer (played by Clare Danes) becomes convinced that a US Marine rescued after years of captivity may have been turned by terrorists. As she investigates, the line between national security and paranoia becomes increasingly blurred. If you need further convincing, the series won multiple awards during its run.

The Diplomat
This is more a political watch than something action-packed, but worth it nonetheless. A career diplomat is unexpectedly appointed US ambassador to the United Kingdom amid an international crisis. While managing escalating global tensions, she must also navigate political pressure and a complicated marriage to a fellow diplomat.
