Awards season just keeps coming at us full-tilt. We've barely had time to recover from the Critics Choice Awards last weekend (and some major surprise wins, snubs and heartfelt speeches), and now we've been hit with the SAG Award nominations in full.

Below, we break down all the major snubs and surprises from the list. And if you're looking for the full list of nominations in every category, we've got you covered too.

1. Snub: Cynthia Erivo for Wicked: For Good

Despite her Golden Globe nomination, Erivo missed out on a nomination for her role as Elphaba at this year's SAG Awards – a second miss for the actor who was also notably missed from the Critics Choice Awards. Last year, the same role in the first Wicked film earned her both Oscar and SAG noms, but she's missed the cut this time around (although her co-star Ariana Grande, did manage to slide into the nomination pool for 'Female Actor in a Supporting Role').

2. Snub: Gwyneth Paltrow for Marty Supreme

Despite some world-class PR, and nominations for several actors including Odessa A'Zion and Timothee Chalamet, Paltrow was left off the SAG Awards individual acting nominations this year (though she's technically recognised in the ensemble nomination).

3. Surprise: Stranger Things

While Netflix's pièce de résistance final season of Stranger Things didn't score any acting nominations, it did surprisingly get a nom for its stunt cast. We'll take it.

3. Snub: The Smashing Machine

Perhaps unsurprising given its failure to launch in cinemas, but A24's The Smashing Machine did not earn a nomination, nor for leading duo Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson (despite being widely predicted to be an Oscar shoo-in for his turn as MMA fighter Mark Kerr).

5. Snub: The Last of Us

Despite earning stunt ensemble nominations, the harrowing second season of HBO's mega-watt video game adaptation The Last of Us did not earn any acting or overall nominations.

6. Snub: Jay Kelly

Despite nomations for both Adam Sandler and George Clooney throughout awards season, neither individual or the ensemble were nominated for a SAG Award this year.

7. Snub: Wagner Moura for The Secret Agent

Moura has been an Oscar front-runner for some time now, but the more US-based voting body of SAG clearly missed the memo. Despite winning best actor at both Cannes and the New York Film Critics Circle, he was missed in the category nominations.

8. Surprise: Miles Caton for Sinners

He did just win in the 'Best Young Actor' category at this week's Critic's Choice Awards, but we're glad to see Caton graduate to the big kids table in the SAG nominations. If you've seen Sinners you know just how well-deserved this nomination is.
