Sabrina Carpenter is living up to her song, 'Busy Woman.' The 26-year-old artist has had a whirlwind year already, with the release of her sixth (yes, sixth) studio album, Short n' Sweet, and a slew of awards (including the Grammy for Best Pop Album) soon after. She even followed up with a Deluxe Edition, featuring five deluxe tracks (and a cameo from Dolly Parton, no less). But if you thought Carpenter was slowing down, think again. Overnight, the singer has announced her seventh studio album, Man’s Best Friend, which will be released on August 29. Here's what you need to know.

Is SC7 en route?

Yes — and it now has a name and release date. Sabrina Carpenter’s seventh studio album, Man’s Best Friend, will arrive on August 29. Her last album was released in August 2024 and, before that, she dropped the holiday-themed Fruitcake in November 2023. This August release keeps with her recent trend of delivering new music annually, and all signs point to Man’s Best Friend continuing her record-breaking streak.

What do we know about Man’s Best Friend?

The news follows the surprise reveal of her latest single, 'Manchild', which she teased on Instagram with a video of herself in micro denim shorts, a button-up blouse, and ultra high heels, attempting to flag down a passing truck. The single dropped on June 5, in perfect timing to help cure the winter blues for fans in the Southern Hemisphere. 'Manchild' will serve as the lead single for the new album, confirming that Man’s Best Friend is very much on the horizon — and coming sooner than many expected.

Is there a tracklist?

While the full tracklist is still under wraps, Carpenter’s recent marketing campaign offers some clues. In the days leading up to the 'Manchild' announcement, billboards began appearing across the U.S. with phrases like "Manchild", "Hey men!", "Amen!", and "I swear they choose me, I'm not choosing them."

While now know these to be lyrics from 'Manchild', they also suggest the album will explore themes of femininity, agency, and the absurdity of modern dating, all wrapped in Carpenter’s signature wit.
