‘RUSSH’ and Kérastase invite you to the Gloss Gallery, a one-day exhibition celebrating the Casting Files

Free gloss touch-ups, fresh pastries (with a few surprises), and a day inside the world of RUSSH – consider this your invitation.

On March 28, 2026, RUSSH, in partnership with Kérastase, presents the Gloss Gallery at Verona One, Paddington in Sydney. Open from 9am to 6pm, the one-day exhibition will showcase the highly-anticipated Casting Files winners – bringing together fashion, beauty and culture, with a series of interactive experiences running throughout the day.

Visitors can move through the space at their own pace – stopping for express gloss touch-ups with Kérastase stylists, stepping into the photo booth, or settling into a live DJ set that will soundtrack the gallery from open to close. Fresh pastries will be served across the day, with a select few hiding a surprise underneath: a full-sized Kérastase product set.

Beyond the experience, the Gloss Gallery marks the first time we step into a gallery setting – bringing our editorial world into a physical space. At its centre is The Casting Files, our new initiative dedicated to discovering, mentoring and showcasing Australia’s next generation of on-camera talent.

Developed alongside Kérastase, the project brings together eight emerging faces, each selected for their individuality, confidence and distinct sense of self. Working closely with the RUSSH editorial team and mentor Charlee Fraser, the group took part in an editorial shoot, with the resulting imagery now forming the exhibition.

Presented as a series of digital covers, the portraits explore the relationship between hair, identity and self-expression. Styled using Kérastase’s Gloss Absolu range, each look treats hair as something sculptural – expressive, polished and entirely personal.

“We hope the Gloss Gallery inspires people to seek creativity and confidence in a new light. It’s a reminder that individuality is personal and self-expression deserves to be recognised,” says RUSSH Beauty Editor, Emily Algar.

The Gloss Gallery reflects RUSSH's ongoing commitment to nurturing creative communities and championing emerging talent. In partnership with Kérastase, who has pledged its own commitment to "closing the confidence gap" – where one in two women rate themselves less confident than men – and through its global Powertalks initiative that support women around the world through active mentorship, this initiative is more than a call-out. It’s a celebration of mentorship, visibility and belief – offering a new generation of faces the space, and support, to be seen.
