Between upcoming travel, festival prep, and a general collective craving for warm-weather dressing, October’s shopping list is equal parts practical and wishful thinking for us at RUSSH.
Whether we're upgrading our transitional wardrobe, hunting down the perfect summer sandals, or locking in our seasonal staples, here is what the RUSSH editors are buying and adding to wishlists this month.

Naturally with the change of seasons, there are a few things I have my eye on. On my recent holiday, I bought this light leather jacket, perfect for those days that still feel a tad cool. The one I bought was from a tiny store in San Gimingnano, but this one is similar. This Cou Cou intimates dress has been on my list for ages, as has this pair of heels from St Agni.
I love this Bokumaia bikini as the perfect swimwear staple – big busted girls take note, this brand is the best. I’m also eyeing up this floral skirt from Realisation Par. Since it was recently my birthday, I feel like I could be entitled to a splurge and it will be these Prada boots.

I must confess, a pet peeve of mine is when people use the word ‘obsessed’ when they just mean they like something, or it’s cool, rather than having a genuine obsession. I have found a genuine obsession in this Tuxedo Coat from Courtney Zheng. It haunts my dreams, I think of her when I wake up and before I go to bed. It's truly perfection, and I wonder what lengths I would go to to possess her... Similarly, the Margo Satin Bullet Bra Dress could help me live out a black tie Madonna fantasy, “obsessed.”
October is a good month for me to get on a bit of a health kick. I'm a September Libra, so I won’t be partying as much in October (theoretically!). I am very keen to try the Cean Onesie – with compression that actually looks chic – unlike my compression stockings for flights. Whilst I’m feeling a bit more sporty and active, I would love to add the Simone Rocha x adidas sneakers to my collection. They're almost too pretty to run in, but it’s an adorable collection and I love everything Simone does.
We know that I could never survive a health kick without some sort of sparkling in my life, and as such, I’ve just tried and absolutely loved the High Hopes Prosecco. I will be adding a few bottles to my bar fridge for when I need a celebratory moment without the alcohol. Lastly, just because one can never have too many silk dresses, this maxi from Maison Essentiele is really rather perfect.

I can’t lie, my wishlist is on overdrive this month as the weather heats up. I’ve been obsessed with Tory Burch’s shoes for so long now, and I’m finally ready to buy these peep-toe pumps. So good.
Loving a hint of blue in my accessories too - these Ancient Greek Sandals with the blue strap are great, as are these Celine Sunglasses in cobalt acetate.
Our Legacy makes some of my favourite denim, and I feel this pair has the perfect fade and shape for Summer.
I’m not usually much of a frills wearer, but I tried on this Dôen top recently and loved it. The black makes all those ruffles feel a little less sweet. I also love this Isabel Marant frill skirt for beach-to-bar dressing. I’d balance it with the slouchy Balenciaga Hobo bag to make the look feel a little more masculine.

With the weather warming up I’ve been thinking about some more transitional pieces. This Cap-Sleeve Babydoll Blouse from My Mum Made It feels like something I could wear to the office but also to the beach. I’m also in desperate need of a pair of thongs for the sand (these Archies in Brown are already in my cart).
I’ve spent a fair bit of time in airports this last month and I’ve had my eyes trained on the mannequins at Witchery. These Witchery Barrel Leg Jeans in Washed Sand, and this Linen Knit Cardigan in Scarlet both caught my eye as a cute pairing I might just have to go find in stores. Equally cute (and on sale) is this Bateman Sun Hat from BAINA (a super-chic towel brand I love). Same goes for this Prada Blue Balm that works like magic.

My list is overflowing this month. First and foremost, I picked up this silk tie top from St Agni as a little birthday present to myself, and I love it. I think I might need the matching pants next.
I have a major penchant for cotton pointelle (like the rest of the world), but especially so after seeing Stella Hanan in this Cou Cou cardigan and skirt set during fashion month. Speaking of pieces that are so comfortable they almost look like loungewear, The Waiting Room just dropped these pants and I love them. Perfect to throw one with a bikini and a tank on a beach day. As for which bikini I’ll be wearing now that it’s finally warm, I was kindly gifted this one from Triangl. It’s so fun and a little bit retro. I just need these Vincent Boulevard sunglasses to complete the ensemble.

With summer weather in spring, board shorts from Rusty are at the top of my list – the comeback of the long boardy is here. Archies along with the long board shorts are the perfect combo.
Really loving this sheer shirt from Kourh, perfect for a warm afternoon semi-formal event. I'm also loving the colour and texture combo of these Christopher Esber shorts.
Ossinger has a really cool brand aesthetic, starting with their launch product, the Rosette Satin Shorts. They are launching a rosette bag shortly which is beautiful.
Eitan Broude always creates really interesting reimagined staple pieces, and their white button-down is one of my faves. Lastly, Dries Van Noten is one of my favourites at the moment and with the rise of the cummerbund, they are doing it the best.

I’m very happy to be back in skirts and dresses now that spring is well and truly here. This Andi top and skirt set from WA-based brand Hntr is already setting the tone for my wardrobe. The ruched finish is incredibly flattering, whether worn together as a set or mixed and matched with black trousers, a cute tank and a fun flat or heel.
Another piece that’s caught my eye is this playful midi dress from Melbourne-based brand Studio Katie Grey. It feels made for event season and warmer weather, and is a fun alternative to the black dresses I seem to have accumulated far too many of.
I also have my eye on these camo pants from Little Yarn. The best part? They’re reversible, so you essentially get two looks in one and can switch things up whenever you feel like it. In my mind, they’d be perfect paired with this black tank from Venroy, a black wedge or heel and this black bag from Brie Leon. As you can probably tell, Australian brands are really making their mark on my spring wardrobe at the moment.

I was gifted a new fragrance recently: Le Labo Another 13. I'm really into it and don't own another scent like it. On me, the musky scent is quite forward. Also in beauty – I have a couple of things I need to purchase from Sephora – and perfect timing with Merit landing at Sephora Australia on September 30th. I want to try the Brow Promade and Signature Lip Blush. The restocks I need to grab are the Salt & Stone Black Rose & Oud Body Wash and Ultra Violette Queen Screen SPF 50+.
A dress I have had my eye on is the Faithfull Esme Midi Dress. Super versatile for the warmer months. And this Dôen Espoir Top is on my wishlist – so feminine and gorgeous.
These St. Agni Cotton Check Relaxed Pants are on sale at the moment, and will be perfect for weekends from errands to the beach. And lastly, these New Balance 1890A are not like any other sneakers in my wardrobe and are very comfortable. I have received compliments every time I wear them.

Heading off to Japan next week, I have only recently been getting things that are a need. That said, it has been a month of purchases. These gorgeous Khaite x Oliver People sunglasses have been on my mind for months! I recently purchased CHANEL’s Les Beiges mascara, and it has quickly become one of my favourite mascaras. I was also gifted recently by my partner a pair of Nike Moon Shoes, which will be my go-to shoes in Japan.
And coming into Summer I had to be prepared, and I got this Triangl bikini. Trialed and tested – I love it. I also purchased some Loop earplugs as festival season is coming up, and it will help me get some shut eye on the flight. Haven’t tried them yet, but they have been on my list of needs for a while.
