Announcing the ‘RUSSH’ Book Club – and our March book: ‘Sense & Sensibility’

Some stories are simply waiting for the right moment to be reopened, and this month we are thrilled to announce the return of the RUSSH Book Club.

In collaboration with Coach, we invite you to join us for an exciting conversation around one of our favourite literary classics, Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen. Plus, a special conversation with author and screenwriter Diana Reid, who adapted the novel for Georgia Oakley’s highly anticipated film – starring Daisy Edgar-Jones and Esmé Creed-Miles – coming later this year.

Our March book selection: Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen

This month, we dive into Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility, a masterful exploration of restraint and passion. As Reid tells RUSSH, "What feels special about Sense & Sensibility is that, although it is as swooningly romantic as any other Austen, the real heart of the story is the love between the sisters."

For some, it will be a chance to finally sit down with the classic novel for the first time (for those who've had it haunting their to-read pile for a little too long), and for others, an opportunity to revisit the story of the Dashwood sisters once more.

For Reid, it was the first Austen novel she read. "I'd already seen the 1995 Ang Lee film, which I adored, so I decided to pick up the book in high school. I was pleasantly surprised by how funny it was, much more than I had expected. "

Join the conversation: how it works

Once you grab your copy (from your nearest book store, online via Amazon, or you could even treat yourself to Coach's Sense & Sensibility book charm to carry with you on the go), you can join us each week in March on Instagram Stories for polls, Q&As, and chances to chat with us about the book. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to submit questions for Reid to answer at our special, in-conversation event in Sydney this April.

Taking place in Sydney on 8 April 2026, the evening will bring together literature lovers for a thoughtful discussion on the themes that have made Sense & Sensibility an enduring classic, from emotional growth and sisterhood, to challenging social expectations. You can  sign up to win an exclusive invitation to the RUSSH Book Club event, in partnership with Coach.
