Of all the Houses that return to the runway each New York Fashion Week, Ralph Lauren remains one of the most faithful to its signature codes. For Autumn Winter 2026, the designer revisited these familiar touchstones — heritage tailoring, equestrian references, and understated glamour — while subtly reworking them for the present moment.
The show took place inside Tribeca’s iconic Clock Tower building, dressed with painted pastoral backdrops and antique rugs that evoked a storybook English countryside. The runway itself felt like a stage for timeless Americana, where tradition blurred with the contemporary.
Gigi Hadid opened the show in a corseted wool top paired with a maxi skirt cinched with a silver chain belt, immediately establishing the collection’s careful balance of utility and elegance. Metallic accents appeared throughout — on belt chains, brooches, and subtle detailing — glimmering in a way that felt like armour for the modern woman.
Contrast was the collection’s defining thread. Structured riding boots and tailored outerwear were paired with fluid evening gowns and high-neck blouses, creating a dialogue between strength and softness, heritage and reinvention. The palette reinforced this duality: earthy, grounding tones in tweeds, velvets, and coats were punctuated by glimmers of bronze and silver, adding a little shine without being overpowering.
Accessories and finishing touches further underlined this narrative.
